Thanks Mike. I may be considering these soon. Did you happen to run these on the shop car with the PSI midpipe? I'd like to hear how that sounds.

the tuner is not going to change the sound of the car. It'll sound the same as a stock G8x with the PSI midpipe

I don't have that exact setup to compare but sound-wise, I had the AA catted with AA midpipe w/xpipe, and it's noticeably louder than stock (especially cold start )

The sound level with the PSI midpipe should be similar to what I have now as both are non-resonated pipes.

Not yet, im hoping to do so next week. I will put the stock downpipes on the car.

In my opinion, High flow cats + a full catback (non-catted) setup is too loud for a daily driver.

If you wish to get high flow downpipes, the catted Active Autowerke midpipe is a better option

That would be great Mike and am looking at that particular set up that you are going to. I don't plan on at this time doing down pipes and would probably only consider the catted version if I did. The sound clip that I've seen through Active has the full system with cats I believe. Also the quality of the video wasn't very good.

There are quite a few cat back systems now but finding quality sound clips is tough. I really don't get some of these videos where there using I-Phones or sub par mics. Why not invest in a better platform to record. I believe it would help sales for some. Also it can be tough to find particular set ups on certain brands that fit a costumer needs as far as sound clips. I'm really interested in the Remus but other than Shmee's clip there's not much from them which with all the demand for them I'm surprised they haven't put something out yet?

So what I am trying to decide is if some of the axle back mufflers make much difference in sound. A couple of them for the cost didn't really make much difference so trying to justify whats the best way to spend funds right now is my dilemma. I also understand that getting parts and delays are part of why there isn't much out there so it is what it is at the moment.

Thanks!

not yet but I will post the install video + sound clip in 1-2 weeks.
Please note the system is with stock cats.

Im very happy with the results, it's a perfect daily driver in my opinion that gets aggressive with the valves open.

Has anyone picked up the catted midpipe? Curious how much louder than the stock exhaust it is. Seems like stock DP -> AA Catted X Pipe -> stock rear might make for an OEM+ sound?

OEM+ is an accurate description of the sound

Really curious how the catted midpipe would sound compared to my PSI non-resonated midpipe. I recently pulled it off as the cold start with my MPE was a bit much. I'm assuming the cats on the AA could likely calm the exhaust down a bit?
