What does the M Carbon Exterior package actually include?

At nearly 5 grand, it’s a pretty pricey package. What’s this actually include?

I’m considering Isle of Man Green G80, wondering if this would be an amazing or horrendous choice.

Included: Front intake deflector (let's call it that), side mirror, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Probably there're more that I am not aware of.

Having seen the real car I noticed the side skirt is still black plastic piece.

One thing that concerns me is the inclusion of the rear diffuser. If you're doing MPE down the road, you'll have to replace it anyway, which is a duplicated investment.

Lastly, I don't even think front deflector is much of an improvement if any over the original honeycomb at first glance. But it looks a bit cleaner and can glow on me.

There's not more, that's everything. Other than the front intake deflector/inlays, the other pieces (mirrors, rear diffuser and rear spoiler) simply swap carbon instead of the gloss shadowline black if youre already looking at a competition (body color if not).

Many will go aftermarket due the cost (might as well get something more unique,
aggressive, or pick and choose your pieces), but if youre leasing, its not a bad deal since you're residualizing those components.

My guess is a lot of people will get this package, it's just easier from a buying perspective to have everything included. Sure, you can buy aftermarket parts and do either self or 3rd party installation. But for some, you're just paying a little extra for ease

Not that I saw.

Side vents and bottom skirt were still gloss.

For the price it should have included the side vent-looking-decorations.

Actually for the price I'm surprised we got the front intakes in that package.. There are other posts on this forum that show the Bmw part cost combo of of 7-11k for the spoiler, intakes, diffuser and mirror caps.

Agreed! The side vents should be carbon on the package and the cost from BMW is insane.

Heck, just the front CF inlets are $3170 from iND.

Speaking of M Performance CF bits, I just saw that the BMW Visualizer added MPCF to its display and options section

If you like carbon I would just get it OEM with your build. To buy those parts individually is pushing $12k. Maybe in time there will be cheap, good quality/fitting aftermarket parts, but I'm not holding my breath

Regret not getting it. Even if one was to do the rear performance exhaust. The stock carbon diffuser has a tremendous resale value.

I'm personally waiting for Vorsteiner to release there carbon aero package!!! Saw some sneak peak pics and looks splendid

Not enough. I've seen IOMG M3 with the Carbon Package in person. You've really got to be looking for the front intakes to notice them. The only thing that really stands out is the big rear diffuser.
