They will almost certainly have to post a revision considering the following slipped by the crack editing team not once, but twice:

1T7 19"/20" M Double-spoke orbit grey wheels, style 825M, w/per non run-flat tires
(19x9.5, 275/35 R19 front and 20x10.5, 285/20 R20 rear

Honestly 2022 is not a long wait from how BMW usually does it's MY. For example, the word on the street is MY21 will arrive at dealerships in March. However, BMW will probably start producing MY22 at the end of summer, so July timeframe...so unless you just have to be the first to get it, it may be worthwhile to wait a bit as they inevitably release more colors and option choices the second MY.

Based on the F8X generation, it also makes me wonder when they plan to do LCIs. The F8X gen was the shortest generation in recent memory (esp. F80). It had a LCI after 3 years. In my mind, the MY21 are basically for those who want the first gen, the market is going to be tight. Realistically, it's on MY22 that really allows demand to catch up with supply and have more cars actually sitting on lots vs. presold.

You should ignore the M years of existence when thinking about LCI... BMW has tied LCI direct to series models.

Rear end LCI will align with the 3 series and headlight/interior tech LCI will align with the 4 series

I agree I cannot justify paying that much for the CF seats even though I'm paying more for the exterior CF parts. Unless I can negotiate 5% or more off MSRP for an early production AWD G80, which is unlikely.

I too was grappling with this thought. I plan to use the M3 as a family car and a Grand Tourer. Does it really make sense to add the CF buckets...? But they do look incredible! We shall see if the heart or mind wins out. Still plenty of time to wait.

I have heard the CF seats add more room for the rear passengers

They look to me to be the equivalent (in comfort) of the F8x Comp seats (with a thigh separator lol). I have no issues with those seats doing long distance drives.

The carbon buckets are well worth it at that price point. I'm in!!! Brooklyn Gray with Silverstone full leather carbon buckets, 826M wheels, and Executive package. That's all I need!

Totally agree with just the carbon buckets. My current F80 is a minimalist build with even cloth seats. M cars aren't suppose to be complicated vehicles like they're pushing to be.

Can confirm! I have full merino in my F82 and this is exactly it. Leather on the door sills (front and rear), dashboard, center console (HVAC/media controls), glovebox, and I think underneath the glovebox as well.

To me, it was well worth it and the the car feels much more luxurious with full merino but like JCZ5 said, it does make the car a little heavier (but with AWD, it should negate this!).

It looks like the carbon buckets are heated! That's a huge plus over Porsche.

The base model is MT only, and the Competition model is AT only. Luckily, from a visual perspective, you can get everything from the Competition on the base.

The same as in the F80 leather options.

If people think pricing is high, remember there are customers paying $5,000 above MRSP to receive an early allocation.

My spec at the moment would be:
IoMG ($550)
Full Kyalami Orange interior ($2550)
Individual Shadowline Lights ($300)
Carbon Buckets ($3800)
Red calipers (NC)

Not interested in Comp model, but options = $7200.

Wish HUD was a separate option.

Pricey but I think I could make it in a value form...

The way I see it... M3 Comp Alpine White... actually no, the new Brooklyn Gray

Exec Pack... filled with junk again except the headlights.

I do appreciate the ventilated seats (especially only for $350) in warm FL weather.

CF Interior trim, give me red brakes and I am good to go.
