If any of you wanna go down a rabbit hole, you can use this to see if you can figure out what ship you might be on. If you're doing PCD like I am, you can hit the Charleston Port schedule to try and figure out what ship your car is on by looking at the "Berthing Schedule" and comparing it to the "RORO" schedule.

Keep in mind that the Berthing Schedule only goes out a few weeks, so the farthest I can track out at this moment is April 25th.

The color exceeds all my expectations by at least 5x. With PPF done, I also do not feel as nervous driving it! Even with the RPM limits during break in, the car is a ton of fun!

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the car!

I'm sure the color is amazing. I've only seen it in person, maybe a couple of times on an E36 and an F80. It looked really good, but I never got to soak it in.

I'm still on the fence about PPF, but that's based on my experience. In 2018, I had it done, and I ran into a situation where a handful of chips went all the way through and into the paint. PPF in the Austin area is pretty inflated, and so I ended up paying around $3,500-$4,000 for the job. While spending that kind of money for PPF isn't really that big of a deal, it left me feeling like the value wasn't there.

I am reconsidering because I've heard that the place folks often get it done when they opt for PCD is substantially cheaper, and they do a really good job for roughly 50% of the money.

The last “K” Line Ship Polaris Highway left Bremerhaven on 9 April, slated to hit Charleston on 30 April. The ship Hamburg Highway leaves on 21 April, but does not go to the Ports of Baltimore, Brunswick, or Charleston.

The next ship leaving Bremerhaven for Charleston leaves on 30 April, which means my car would be sitting there for nearly three weeks. That ship doesn’t arrive until 25 May.

Currently, the best-case scenario is for the car to get on the WW ship Grand Sapphire, which leaves on 15 April and arrives in Charleston on 8 May
