You absolutely cannot put a front plate on that. But it's definitely growing on me 🤔 still want to see it in person. Not a fan of the wheels.

Love it!

I am a fan of orange and I love this thing. Can't wait to see the CS version. Is it just me or does the M-performance exhaust look like crap?

Still contemplating between orange and blue frozen colours before order is finalized 😀
I really like the frozen blue, but I have never owned a matte paint finish and have concerns about maintenance. . . namely, I wash my car MAYBE 4-6 times a year and it seems matte paint requires constant attention that I simply will never give it.

I stated this specifically in response to your post because I am curious how manageable the frozen paint is in the great white northern tundra for 6-8 months of 'winter.'

Exact opposite for me, every time I see the silver wheels it makes me opt out for getting one of these new G8X’s. It makes the wheels look so small and the body look so massive when you can see the wheel. Whereas the opposite happens when I see the full black gloss wheel, it makes the car look more in proportion since the wheel and tire end up creating a larger optical illusion of mass.

Either you are a great photographer, or I actually like it a lot more than all the previous photos floating around! I even like the frozen version of my Sakhir Orange M4. Thanks for sharing, mate!

Damn this color is great... I do not think I have the courage to take care of matte paint... but i have 3 years to convince myself (LFG! LCI 1.0 2024MY). They must know how good this color looks I cannot see them delaying this for the US past the summer 2022 introduction when they fill in the model lines with xdrive and the vert

It's a showroom. The lighting is optimized to make the cars look their best to sell them.

The M3 has grown on me, but I just can't get used to the M4.

No, that is not available for the G8x, only the G2x.

Of course, later when custom Individual orders become available in the US, one will be able to get any color (pending approval) starting at $5K. However, with the entire palette available, it's unlikely many would choose a color that could be ordered for $550 on any 3 Series or 4 Series.

As always BMW KNOWS how to do great colors.
The design for this gen, not so much, but I'm hopeful from the aftermarket.

Thanks for your input. Same here, never owned matte finish and have that concern as well. I used to wash my car every 2 weeks but that reduced to monthly with Kids taking my time
I love frozen blue and wanna get it. I hope not to regret going with Matte finish.

It would be a 1 of 1 build though lol.

Indeed. Sometimes people really want a specific color:
