The G8X Dirty Car Picture Thread

I thought this might be a fun thread for those of us that do not treat their cars as garage queens.

My IOMG is horrendously dirty after a rather nasty dust storm in AZ this last Monday.

Unfortunately/fortunately, I literally picked up my vehicle from getting detailed and PPF that afternoon and drove it home 25 miles from the shop in said storm. Crystal clear skies all day, no warning about this.

Glad it was protected, but a tad miffed I couldn't enjoy the shine of the detail for more than 15 minutes.

Needs a wash, but IOMG still pops through the grime.

Oh man, if I wasn't stuck at 111 I'd be lighting this thread up.

This is my thread. All these guys with the spotless cars and ridiculously clean garages was making me second guess if this car was for me. I like a clean car but started feeling like I needed some OCD to be a G80 owner. Love that IOMG. Can’t wait to get mine. Are those the 826 black wheels? What color calipers? Been torn between caliper color and whether I should get the 50th anniversary badges.

I think you mean you're a human being with a life. I love my car spotless just as much as the next person. I also run a business, have a day job, go to the gym 5-6 days/wk, and sometimes just don't have the time to sit down for 60-90 minutes in the middle of the week for someone to hand wash my car. I need to get my old traveling cleaners back on payroll.

FYI - kudos to all those that do detail their own cars each week. Car wash porn is the best. I just don't have the patience and often time, personally.

Yes, I have the black 826 wheels with the black calipers. I think the black fits very well with IOMG. It keeps the color pallet reasonable. You start adding in a 3rd to the mix and it becomes a bit fussy to me.

Ya'll don't want to see my garage. Purchased 2 homes and moved 3 times in the last 13 months. Long story. My garage makes me an instant outcast amongst this community.

I'm with you on the time. There just isn't enough in a day to get it all done. This car will be my weekender so hopefully it will stay a lot cleaner than the daily driver. I work near the beach so on windy days my daily gets a nice coat of salt on it. Not a big deal as I take it through the car wash. Something I'll never do with the M3.

I had the same thoughts about adding another color but wasn't able to confirm until you started this thread. I am getting the same color exterior color combo IOMG/826 Black wheels/calipers and traditional BMW badges. My interior is full Silverstone so no color popping except that IOMG.

IOMG over silver stone is a classy combo. You won't regret it.

Also, the classic bmw badges compliment IOMG very well too. I do love the anniversary badge, just in different colors.
