If your dealer pulls up their tracking page that shows the details like image below. Does it include the rail car info or no? My CA was saying they wouldn't know when it would be to VPC until it gets scanned in there when taken off train. Hopefully my car made it on the same train. Would like up with previous posts about 1st week of December for BT which is this week.

Baltimore. Ask your dealer - he should have received a list of VINs today with cars that made it on the train.

That's correct. He can't see this in the system. Mine received a email from his rep.

I used both UP and CSX and both game me different reports. UP says rail car was loaded at Port Hueneme on Nov 18th. CSX says rail car arrived at CSXT Brunswick on Nov 18th. We will see which one is correct.

I'm wondering if only a certain batch of cars going to Brunswick made it on this train and some are still in cali waiting or if they are all on it.. my CA hasn't said anything about getting an email with rail info…

I got my Rail Number from BMWNA Twitter, says I’m on TTGX988867. Tracing says the train was loaded on the 26th and departed same day. I’m heading to Brunswick with final destination of South Florida.

Seems like some cars got out early last week and some may have got left behind until more rail cars became available: this would explain why some Brunswick folks are seeing their cars on trucks to dealerships.

Well ... mine is going to Baltimore, but yes - not all cars are on trains. My dealer received a list with cars that made it and others that didn't. There's also more than "one" train. It appears BMW added cars to trains that weren't at capacity ... obviously to save cost. Because an even bigger bonus check is so much more important than semi-satisfied customers.

Never used twitter before. Do you just send a message to BMW USA?

Yep, setup an account, go to their profile and tap the message button. So far this seems to be the only place I can get a real answer thus far. My CA is clueless, geniuses are clueless, Chris from corporate just gives a standard reply issued by corporate.

Would you mind messaging me Chris’ email by chance? I’ve been looking to add my complaints to the list but figured maybe I’d cut out the middleman...

I received my railcar # from BMW twitter. It's CNA712330. Per UP tracking the train arrived this morning and my car was loaded at 7:xx am. It appears it is supposed to leave 12/06 (??? WTF ???). Chris who told me yesterday that it is already on its way is no better than all the other BMW schmucks. I want his head on a stick ....

I was just given TTGX253768. It arrived in West Colton, California early this morning. In light of all of this nonsense, it makes perfect sense that none of our carrier numbers would line up (despite the same destination). I don't understand how DMs via twitter will yield rail car numbers but neither the CA nor the executive customer care team is privy to that information.

This is the audio message. Kinda hard to make sense of it.

That happened when I called Northfolk Southern. They need to do half of the haul. UP sounds (unfortunately) legit. I can't make sense of the message though. Is the train supposed to leave 12/06 or arrive in Illinois (!!??) 12/06?

Thanks. Was that for yours, mine, or both?

Unfortunately, the clearer and more promising things sound, in reality the murkier it gets.

I can't wait to see what kind of discounts BMWNA offers us after we have already handed them the money for the vehicle and the title has been transferred.

Got this message from Twitter BMW

"Hi Chris - We're sorry to learn about your frustrations and disappointment. Due to circumstances in the logistics operations at the port that are outside BMW’s control, there have been delays.

Your vehicle is in transit on Union Pacific Railroad on rail car TTGX 978159. We anticipate that you will be able to take delivery of your M3 Competition xDrive before the end of the year."

Loaded 11/26 headed to Brunswick. What a joke.

Has anybody actually received any discount offer? One person mentioned they were getting something and then never said what it was.

The executive customer care person I'm working with is going to comp me the BMW 101 experience ($495 value). Interest rate hike for Dec will cost me $3k over the life of the loan plus the $1k+ value my trade in has lost. What a complete bargain, all is right with the world.

I finally have an update that may help others with getting some type of compensation for your wait.. My rep said,
" It appears that boat has a ton of cars on it and is causing a lot of stores to miss their new car goals this month. However I am just going to cancel your performance deliver at this time and take a $1000 off the MSRP to make up for the dealer adds. Then yes you will qualify for the rebates that our currently going on. the reason I am going to cancel it is I did another onee like this and they were saying January 15th delivery and that was two weeks ago I did that one."

So how I read that is I'll receive my car no sooner than Jan 15th. I'm indifferent at this point.

It says clearing Illinois 12/6, since that is a main rail hub, would make sense to use it as a point of reference for travel time.

My CA had no new info on his end to show if my car made it on a rail car or not. Have DM out to BMWNA on twitter to see if they can provide me info. If i didn't make it on the previous train, maybe I made it on the one from today.
