I'm not a fan of Ti but it goes well with this color, this might be the only setup where i do not mind Ti.

That said, i'd still pick carbon

I had a question as i have the awe switchpath exhaust, would switching out the awe non res midpipes with the valvetronic equal length make it louder or just change the pitch?

Intriguing question,
Ultimately it’s not going to make the car any louder despite the setups being a free flow configuration. What you will gain is a deepness down low due to the single but because of the equal length design you will gain an exotic high pitch flare up top. very interested to hear the EL + AWE setup. AWE does phenomenal work.

I originally had black tips ordered...then Austin called me and convinced me on Ti tips. I look at them every morning in the garage and wouldn't have it any other way

i'll have to disagree with that. As someone who tried both setups, EL is certainly louder.

AWE midpipe retains the secondary cats, the equal length replaces them with straight pipes.

Its louder, deeper, more exotic when the AWE axle back is paired with the Equal length setup. You get the best of both worlds.

I would be very interested in hearing(literally) what you end up going with. I've been debating between these configurations myself and I'm not sure what to go with.
I only know that don't want any rasp, anywhere.

Are you finding that the Awe Switchpath + awe non res mids just isn't loud enough?

I’m debating getting a full TI exhaust from Valvetronics honestly. Trying to figure out the best setup without causing CEL

With the group buy current price, placing an order is a no brainer in my opinion.

which Valvetronic?

I am very interested in an equal length mid-pipe however I am extremely concerned on what product I will receive if I order. There are quite a few different representations of the Valvetronic equal length mid-pipe on this forum in the last few months and they are definitely not all created equal.

For example, from Valvetronic website. https://valvetronic.com/products/bmw-m3-m4-g8x-midpipe

From Mike’s site. https://x-ph.com/valvetronic-bmw-m3-...rade/#images-1

From a recent review posted here on G80 Bimmerpost. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ht=valvetronic

The later is not acceptable to me on several levels and IMO is not the same product pictured on Valvetronic or Mike's websites. The piping seems smaller, and most concerning is at the merge is almost at a 90* angle. This cannot offer the same performance and flow not to mention it looks cheap in comparison. Flanges look questionable.
Clearances look questionable. Almost as if it was a cheap China knockoff.

If I order thinking I am receiving one of the first two and receive the later I would not be paying for return shipping and would be extremely upset with Valvetronic.

Please clarify on what product is currently shipping and where the abomination in the Bimmerpost above came from and why it is being sold as Valvetronic.

Thanks,
RG

Let’s break this down so we can communicate the most clear information.

The current configuration of the product does not have the flex bellows that you see in the first and second photos. This was done for ultimate longevity of the product as we discovered that the flex section was not needed. As our goal is to provide the ultimate experience, and we are constantly learning, we made this improvement in order to improve the Valvetronic equal length experience.

We apologize that the individual who posted these photos did not have the exact same camera set up that we do, and the angle is slightly off, but our jig for the product has not changed. We have simply removed the flex section and kept everything else the same.

In regards to the changing of the merge part of the system, and this section has not been changed, and the piping size has also not changed either. The tolerances on this product are extremely tight and therefore needs to be manufactured very precisely. we have tested the configuration you see pictured, on cars with hybrid turbos well beyond 900 wheel horsepower and have not seen performance degradation.

If you have any further questions, we would love to have one of our customer service representatives reach out to you via phone or email and we can communicate further. Please PM us your contact information and one of our agents will reach out to you. Thank you for your keen eye on this!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Can you just post pictures of the current product you are shipping? I'm not sure why that would be difficult.

Updating the first post of this thread would be great so people will know what product they will receive and not be surprised on delivery.

You are pushing a Group Buy which is great. There should be current and up to date pictures of the product. Not one-off polished show pieces of the original design that is no longer being sold.
