Is a picture supposed to be showing? What did you trade it in for? Why so soon?

What are they actually charging for these now? I remember looking at Giulia and Stelvio QV in 2020. The dealerships were offering 5-10k off new models immediately and 10-15k off new 2019 left overs. I had one dealer offering 17k off a leftover 19 Stelvio.

A Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Misano Blue, CF seats and no sunroof. I will post some pics. I'm always back and forth between RWD and AWD because of the bad weather around here.

Haha yes 5 months I think. I have a problem. Trading cars. Really I wanted AWD back and CF seats. There was less than a hand full in the country with Sparcos. Only one I could find with no sunroof plus seats.

Also my interest rate on the Giulia was horrible! I'm at 1.9% with the Stelvio. That is good how rates are now.

I noticed on their site that the rates through Chrysler are really low right now! Huge incentive to go with Alfa.

However, like you, I want AWD. But, not a SUV personally. However, your Stelvio is really nice - Congrats. Love the color and the seats!

Crossed paths with a Green AQ today... gorgeous car, sounds incredible. We gave each other thumbs up, shared nice car comments, and revved it out a bit through 1st and 2nd. You can't go wrong with either. In a perfect world, an AQ with BMW's reliability. I do love my idrive8 though... Mutual respect

I would try one with buckets but I really want my next hobby car to be Manual after 5 auto's and a 6MT 718 in between.

Shame they don't offer a good Manual or AWD, it would boost sales even if platform is old, the drivetrain has emotion.

I like these a lot and they were on my short list to replace my Taycan.

What made me choose the CT4 Blackwing was dealer network (closest AR dealer is about 25 miles away) and manual transmission not available on the Alfa.

Awesome cars though, and exotic for under 100k.

Congratulations on the Stelvio QV!

Had a Stelvio QV for around 2 years. Only sold it because the dealer offered me to buy it back at the same price I've bought it. Amazing car without any issues (once an engine mount had to be replaced). Dealer gave 5 years service and 5 years warranty.

There was just one annoying thing in the UAE: The exhaust would only really open in Race mode which was a bit extreme for everyday driving. Other markets had it already open in dynamic mode which was done via software update. This update was not available for the UAE market (maybe now?).

The ZF8 transmission felt sooo much better (incl. the aluminum paddles) compared to the M4.

Nice Stelvio! Yes at least in the USA and on MY 20 and up valves are open all the time in dynamic mode. The 8 speed tuning is the best I have experienced from that box it's DCT like.

This car is a big change after 6 straight M cars for me.

Some may think I'm nuts but this car is so good I highly recommend driving one! We shall see if reliability is that bad. I hope not, It's my DD

I ceramic coated her with Gyeon pure evo. Also just had the all the windows tinted and windshield in xpel prime xr. Windshield tinting is a game changer for heat and glare! That's all not moding this car.

After driving it for a while I come to find some stand out things I think are better done than the G8X imo. I had about 20k miles driven between my G80 and G82.

First the steering is so direct and fast with better feel but it never feels darty on the highway. It's lighter than any M car I have had.

Second the suspension is done much better for the street at least. It feels more sofiticated, better damped and soaks up the bumps significantly more, yet gets very firm in race mode without being jarring. Never crashes on road imperfections. It drives like it weights less than the G8X even if it's not.

Third the transmission is just better tuned and feels more DCT like going up and down the gears. Exhaust sounds very cool and different, much louder than G8X. No fake pumped in noise. More emotional experience along with the big aluminum paddles. Both cars drink fuel when pushing them. Alfa is worse in that regard.

Alfa has more of a Jeckle and Hyde personality. You would never know how crazy this car becomes in normal mode. BMW has much more [...]
I mean, you have a Ferrari engine.
There’s no doubt it’s gonna be something special.

Personally I do not find the looks of the giula to be all that good, but I know a lot of people like it.

It’s cool to hear about your experience though!

Please keep us informed of how it goes. I wouldn’t personally buy one, but I am interested nonetheless. And, I don’t mean that as a passive aggressive rude backhanded compliment. I think it’s great to read your stuff and I hope the car treats you really well!

Why not get together with some bimmer guys and do some tests and throw up some vids!

Would love to watch.

The one thing that keeps in my mind about AR is when Clarkson said you can’t be mean to them because they are trying so hard.

He’s such a shit recommending them to everyone and their mother, and while I’m certain they really are a tremendous driver’s car (everyone has said so)… I’d worry about the reliability outside of warranty, so be careful there.

The $20-30k discount from my G82s was compelling, as were elements of the drive such as the exotic-feeling fixed aluminum shift pedals and exhaust note in Race (though that required DSC OFF in the older ones that I drove).

Check the tires - the ones that I drove that made the best impression all had PZero Corsa (essentially Cup 2 equivalents). The steering better matched the chassis with those tires; otherwise, the steering seemed faster than the car's actual handling capabilities. The speed of the steering gave the car a short wheelbase kind of feel (a la M2 or similar), which I enjoyed.

If Alfa went all-in and offered a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, I'd buy one. That's what they need to steal customers away who are otherwise unsure about the brand. I don't know how BMW sold a single F80 with this car available in 2016.
100%
If they did this I might jump, just to see what a Ferrari engine in a sedan is like.

C’mon man, I’m no snowflake or anything but this is just pointless. You’re practically wishing the guy problems.

I hear you, their reliability is not their selling point. But really?

Schadenfreude at it’s best I guess.

here is mines

The pic is the day I sold it. wonderful car the ARQV is. No doubt it was quicker than my new M3 at that time. It had carbon seat and carbon brakes.
and the noise it makes. OMG. (Open Valve Controller) open all the time.

If it was all because I want a 6mt again, I would not sold it.

Differents. One is a toy (AR), other is a tool (M3).

Never had a problem, but you must service at regularly, like a true Ferrari. and it becomes $$$$.
