I’ve had the pleasure of owning both a black 2020 C8 Stingray and a red 2023 M4 Comp Xdrive. I owned the C8 for two years and it had the track alignment done on it and minor mods. BOTH cars are amazing and have great acceleration and handling. You will be happy with either one. Off the top of my head:
C8 Stingray pros vs M4 Comp Xdrive No turbo lag. The stereo is better. Interior is more exotic. Faster shifting (yes, the M4 shifts fast, but not this fast). Sexier front end. C8 Stingray cons vs M4 Comp Xdrive The factory engine tune is pretty much optimal, you can’t slap on a piggyback and get 80 more hp and 100 tq. Complete pain to work on, ie changing the C8 air filter requires the removal of around 30 screws and bolts. Less technology than the M4 options (except for the C8 video mirror). A little slower than the M4 X-drive, 11.2 quarter mile vs 11.0 quarter mile. Exhaust does not sound as good as the M4 MPE. No burbles on C8 acceleration shifts, you might get one 'pop'. You can see both cars on my IG, ominous_m4 (used to be ominous_c8) |

https://carfigures.com/us-market-bra...rolet/corvette https://carfigures.com/us-market-brand/bmw/3-series But we should also ask... what's the reason - particularly when you're include the entire 3 Series lineup? Back in 2007, BMW used to sell up to 40,000 3 Series (+ M3) cars per quarter and now it's down to 7,000. That to me indicates that the modern 3 Series and M3s aren't "rare" but perhaps less desirable than the older generations. |
