LAUNCH CONTROL The first gear speed cannot run at full speed

Use 1st gear transmission and then switch to 2nd gear at 4000 rpm. I want to know why it cannot run to 7000rpm

That's how launch control is programmed, it short shifts into second. But if you brake boost and launch the car normally it'll be slower than using launch control so the short shift is beneficial and whatever else bmw programed into it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I noticed ever since flashing XHP the early upshift to second does NOT happen anymore. It allows you to spin through first if needed.

Even in launch control you will reach 7k in first gear.

Yea just stage 3 no other settings changed, I am not running Drag race mode.

I am also flashed with BM3, but I dont think that changed the short shift setting, I am pretty certain it was the XHP trans flash.

Thank you very much for informing us. Also, have you tested a 1/4 mile launch test at this stage

I don't have a road long enough to do a 1/4 hit near me unfortunately. But have done around 20 launches using launch control, and roughly about the same with just foot braking in D3 without launch control.

Also many 60-130 runs (over 250 at this point)

You are spinning hence why the up shift. You’ll either have to put Drag radials on or have your tuner input the proper tq limits in each gear for you. Unfortunately can’t set tq limits in XHP if you are on BM3 custom rom so your tuner has to set it inside the tune. I’ve cut a 2.3 0-60 on stock tires with a 1.52 60ft using LC and limiting the tq in 1st gear
