Exactly what I did when I started the thread 2 1/2 years ago. You got it all in the video! Nice job!
AWE Track exhaust now, but when I wired the valves open back in '21, great sound improvement for zero cost. |

Hi all just a question regarding putting back the controller, I did this mod to see how it would sound with valve fully open and now I would like to put back the OEM controller back in place. I just put the spacers, the controller was never disconnected from the car. I used for a couple of weeks.
For my suprise the controller is now in a position I cannot re-attached to the valve. Is there something I am missing? Anyone had this issue when putting back the controller? |

That’s exactly what I did but problem is that the both actuators are in a position that don’t align either with close or open. Seems like because they were running free they move into a position they shouldn’t be…

Attach the controller with the bolts loose a bit, then start the car and enable sport+, the controller will turn and the valves will fall into place.

Don't really feel like I ever want them closed again! Took me about 45mins. Probably few mins longer than needed as I didn't lift the car at all. Thanks for listing the parts! |

Sorry to revive this thread but found this online:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005821116284.html According to the website it is plug and play and works off the exhaust button on center console, anyone here have this or try it out? |

Looking for something more plug and play. I was looking into AWRON but just don’t like the idea of how some of the wires have to be spliced. This module is supposedly plug and play while still keeping the exhaust button functional. There are no other alternatives as far as I can see for plug and play route

Most of these ali-express offerings as most are rushed to market with little to no testing, and have absolutely no support if needed for installation or post-sales. You can have everything from erratic operation to excessive battery drain and not even know about it unless professionally diagnosed - and costing much more in the long run.

Thanks for the information, I’ve seen the installation process on the AWRON module and it seems like a much more complicated as opposed to this one which looks like a true plug n play module without having to use a separate remote. |

A quick video of the sound with this mod done.
Will be doing a single mid pipe soon so may put the valve controller back to stock…. Will get some footage of the sound of the mid pipe with valves fully open vs standard valve control |

Seems to me if the slot in the shaft of the actuator itself was in was sliced across to look like a + or an x with a Dremel tool so the orientation of the drive shaft when installed to the small flat drive plate would already be at a preset angle to allow the valves to be open partially to begin with might work

So I did the secondary cat and 1st resonator delete last night, I thought it would be much louder then it was not as crazy as I anticipated. When I was parking my car I can here the popping from the exhaust in m2 mode at idle, at this point I knew the valves was being restricted down by the ecu. I am looking to do this mod today and hopefully have a wonderful sounding exhaust setup. Cost to do the secondary cat and primary first resonator was 300 dollars at a muffler shop for context.
