Brake wear Sensor

IS there a clip that holds it in? Mine was hard to get off and I thought I heard something drop and now it just loosely slides in and out and doesn't stay in. Thanks!

What did you find? There is a metal piece that's on the end of the sensor wire that plugs into the brake pads is the part that indicates when the brake pad is worn. Was that it?

Normally, you can't reuse the brake pad wear sensor because all the heat cycles make the plastic bits melt and break off once removed. If the sensor still works, you got lucky.

My car is brand new, and I lowered it. When I pulled off the sensor, the little clip went flying, but I found it.
