Yeah because literally no one modified the F8X to look better.
E46, e9x, and f8x look great out of the box.
As does this, I think it's the best out the box M3 ever.
Rear ends of a car are typically the easy part to design , it's usually the front end where designers make or break a car, the g8x rear has a bomb booty but when she turns around... you get the 10 yard fake out

That's because the G80 is nearly identical in size and weight to the E60 M5.

Driving a on ramp turn at perhaps 4/10ths and claiming the "handling is great"...

Does this guy track his cars on his channel or is it mostly the usual peacock tuning/appearance/stance stuff?

This automotive "influencer" lives in Charlotte, NC and is the biggest 'effin tool. Speeds all around town with DSC off and roll races on roads that are heavily populated by road cyclists.

What he meant was with something like better offset wheels or spacers and some lowering it'll look even better, you missed the part where he says it already looks so good in the stock form and even his Supra didn't look so good when it was stock.

Let's face it, these cars have some extra wheel/fender gaps, wheels kinda sink in too, kinda spoils the overall look, feels incomplete. Audi and Merc do a better job of this in their RS and AMG models.

haha, yeah I don't think he tracks or anything. He drives his Supra with BMW wheel caps and has a BMW engine cover on it too, it's kinda annoying, he just keeps dragging it. Anything for the likes/views.

It's crazy how the G8X looks acceptable only in the dark colors that essentially hide all the ugliness.

And these cars just keep getting BIGGER.

The engine and the prospective AWD are the selling points for this engine, and so I don't understand why anyone who wants a manual would get this...just not worth the price tag over the F8X.

Anyone who wants a manual and new should be looking at the M2 Comp or M2 CS.

Opinions are naturally all over the board, but that's my 0.02.

The reach people are making to hate on this car is hilarious isn't it. I think it's a mixture of it being a big change, making other people's cars look, and actually be, older, making the value of theirs less in the process, as well as it not being what they hoped it would be; an evolution rather than a revolution of the design. I've been on a few car forums over the years and it's always the same.

It's a matter of personalization. You're from SoCal so you have to be familiar with car culture. In the NYC scene (which I generally want no part of because of the reckless behavior that goes with it), people buy McLaren 720's for $250k+ and drop $10k on decals.

The reviewer likes the aesthetics of the car, you may not. But your point here, with respect, is a deliberate misinterpretation of what he's saying.

...and what are they still doing here? It seems the vast majority of them aren't in the market for the car to begin with.

I like the look of the G80 M3 better than the F87 Comp or CS....I got it in a manual...thanks for telling me how to spend my $90k.

I'm coming from an M3 CS by the way, and I can't wait to take delivery.

it's interesting to see that there are still people taking the time to complain in every goddamn thread about the looks.

I mean, it's totally OK to not like a look of a car, but why bother taking the time to say how fugly it is?

I never ever came to the idea to go into a FIAT board and moan about the Multipla. Let the people talk about the car who want to share experience about it...I mean if someone points out the technical stuff ok it is a discussion point, but looks is and will always remain a subjective feeling from every individual person.

I love the G8X and I loved the F8X (was about to buy a M2CS and decided for the M3) and everyone can have his/her taste.

You know, it's pretty amazing that BMW isn't the only manufactor out there...you can buy a P-Car, Mercedes, Audi, Alfa, Jaguar or whatever the hell you like! Wonderful, isn't it ?

Just enjoy whatever you have and like and share your passion with people who like it too...

Not that hard imo.

I don't disagree. But that's the idea. Why can't people differ in a respectful manner anymore.
There was nothing disrespectful in my post. As I stated, it's just my opinion.

And just like people love it, others life to vent, which is also Ok in a forum!

Just because I have a different opinion than you, doesn't mean I have any problem with you.

The vast majority had no intention of ever buying it, I know. They want to hate like I said because their cars, which they love and spent a lot of money on, are now 'the old M3/M4' and are no longer the hot thing, coupled with them losing value overnight as well. It's understandable. People are also just hella negative nowadays, everything is 'trash' online until it isn't, then everyone changes their minds with the masses; you can see it happening on Instagram comments already.

You were somewhat brazen. Rather than speaking in the first person and say "I would never get this in a manual" you effectively said no one should be getting this in a manual. It is possible to love this car for it's looks! lol.

I apologize if I was disrespectful in turn.

I actually went the other way - I had a plan to buy an G82 and skip out on the M2 CS until I realized the CS was really the right car for me in terms of what I cared about as an enthusiast.

Not to say that I won't still get an G8X eventually, just dropped in priority.

This whole experience does make me really wonder how the G87 will pan out.
