IMHO the G80/G82’s are nice in person. Had a chance to sit in and check a Portimao Blue/Black G80 yesterday. I like it and personally would strongly consider one. May have to wait and see what’s good once the all wheel drive models are released. That being said I wouldn’t completely rule out the rear wheel drive version either. As of yesterday this Portimao Blue “Comp Pack” G80 is available “at sticker” as the person who ordered it backed out for some reason. As you know, you can’t take delivery until around March 13th. Really Nice ride. Personally, I think I like Brooklyn Grey at present would also like to see Davit Grey in person. Also saw a Tanzanite over Kyalami Orange - nice ride as well.

I said it in the beginning. Lots of people will hate it at first (bc its new and a little out there) but once it starts to be out for a while and you can digest it people will come around and start to really like it. They also look better in person

I hated it at first, but today my dealer invited me to come take a look and a drive. So much better in person. Going to sit on my impressions for a week or so. If I still feel the same next week, I’ll be ordering M4 competition model.

50% of the haters will be swayed by seeing it. Another 45% will be swayed when it become apparent how superior the car is to the F8X and any competitor on sale. The remaining 5% will be a mix of people switching brand and those that will continue to cry for an LCI redesign here that will never happen.

And yes I might have been the biggest fan from the start for transparency

I didn't like the pictures at all in the beginning, but once I saw it in real life, I realized just how different it is. It looks far better than I expected, but still not to the point where I'm saying I have t have one.

Having said that, I think this car will look even better when they're modified. While I don't like the M Performance parts, these cars look so much better when they're lowered. I also think a nice front lip will compliment the front end very well.

A few will not be able to mentally accept a slush box and the near 4K lbs weight independent on if it degrade the driving experience and/or performance. Their only option to maintain capabilities and quality/reliability is a twice the price 911. A small percentage will do it.

I’m 60% on the 911 side but it’s not because I think the G8X will be a downgrade in any area vs the F8X. I was never in the hater camp. It is solely because I want a 911. It might or might not be the right time, we’ll see. Time is running out for the pure ICEs.

I liked the new styling from day one, but you just have to see these in person to understand the proportions and appreciate how cool they really are Too many of the photos have been intentionally taken to distort features of the new styling just because it is different.

Completely agree that it must be seen in person. I wasn't a huge fan at first but started to like it the more I saw it. Today I finally got to see an M3 in SPY and it looked amazing. The grilles don't look nearly as big as they do in the photos and due to the aggressive styling of the car overall the grilles actually look good. Love the lines all throughout.
