The M3 and M4 were on display at the Rolex 24. We asked them to do cold start, rev, and interior videos. I sat in the M3 and those buckets are very comfortable for that type of seat. I never hated the grills, I still don't. The front looks much better in person.

I really need to see TR in person. In some pictures it looks really good and then in others it just looks washed out.

What are your thoughts on it?

That pics never did it justice. The car in person is impressive. The front is just shocking since its so different than F series but IMO it doesn't look as bad in person. The interior is amazing, the seats are so good. I liked it to be honest.

I wanted to see TR in sunlight, and that is the exact picture I was looking to find. Absolutely stunning in the sun (Here in Houston we have plenty of that)

Looks like the exterior color option has been made for me... time to sit in these seats before I make my final decision. Thank you for the pictures.

I actually changed my order yesterday after seeing a Toronto Red X3M at the dealership. It's just not a color worthy of the car. I put in for a yas marina blue individual....I have a March 10 build and have no idea what color it's going to be.

It looks washed out in overcast conditions and in NYC that's what we had yesterday.

I had to see it in person before I was sold, but it looks great imho. Was always hard to tell in pictures. I'm set to order an F97 soon in TR. It pops in just the right ways in person.

thats why I didn't get it on my X3M, saw it at dealership on overcast day and it looked faded and more orange, didn't care for it. In bright sunlight its great, but Chicago winters are mostly overcast. I want a color that looks great in different lighting (sakhir orange was like owning 2-3 different color cars, loved them all).

Having said that I do believe Toronto Red will look much better on the M3/M4 compared to X3M/X4M, big part being the carbon fiber roof breaking it up and being a smaller (less height) car, was too much bright red on the SUVs for me. So its still one of my final 3 choices and probably what I will go with if I can't order Fjord blue interior next year.

I don't get why they did not fit a new door skin to the read doors. Step from rear door to fender is way more noticeable than F80. Cost cutting I guess..

I am warming up to it a lot, after my last service on X3M its much more responsive and turbo lag not nearly as bad as when I first had it (was dealer launch car). I imagine at 500 lbs lighter the M3 is going to be insane and same build will be about the same price (assuming I don't do the carbon options). I always wanted AWD M3 which is why I went from the X3M, but do miss having the smaller car.

Looking at other options, I just cant get myself to pay the extra money for a 911, would rather get M3 and something my kids can drive in a few years (wrangler, countryman, X2). Great time to be a car buyer, lots of options. Hell, might just get another X3M with LCI coming this year.

I'm curious - I see alot of these builds with the carbon pack - just how bad do the standard blacked out mirrors and diffuser look in comparison? Is it just cheap glossy plastic?
