First G82 M4 Customer Delivery? Moderator: Almost surely not

Just found this video posted by a guy in Toronto claiming that he is taking delivery (world's first) of a 2021 G82 M4!?

There's no evidence of him taking it out on the road but it does have a license plate that says KAWAYI or KAWAY1 so it appears to already be registered.

Odd it happens to be the exact same color they are touring with, but maybe they sold him that car? I just went to see them and my god is it incredible. I prefer the M3 to the M4. This car is so hard to photograph or video, it looks so much better in person my photos look trash compared to real life. Can't wait to order one!

Wonder why comments are turned off in the video. How do you get to take delivery a month before you are allowed to? I'd think BMW would have some sort of rules on this. And, I know it gets dark early these days, but is looks like it's 2am there in the dealership with no one to be seen anywhere.

Maybe he has to leave it at the dealer for a month for people to be able to look at. There was someone on here who had some deal with that. Dealer ordered whatever car it was but he had to leave it there for a week for people to see. Boy I'd be out there a lot looking at it during that time. Maybe I'd keep a lawn chair at the dealer to sit and stare at it.

I'm impressed if the dealer rent a cop knows about the ceramic brakes and that the previous model was called an F82. Although BMW is marketing to everyone now...

Did you go to weatherford? What do you think of the grille? I have it ordered in black to blend the grille but if it isn't bad in person I may change to Brooklyn Grey

Yea, I had that thought as well. It's at least real for someone, whether it's him or not.

this is what I have been suspecting the whole time it just doesn't photograph well my alfa is the same it looks derpy in photos but in person its a beautiful car unfortunately haven't seen it in person myself but I like how it looks and mine is currently on its way to the sates should be here in a few weeks

I’m usually not the first to suspect foul play but the combo of being after closure and matching the demo car build seem a bit weird.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s clickbait if he hasn’t taken possession of the car.

The preproduction yellow M4 is still making the rounds, and it is obviously very easy to throw a bow on the hood and swap over a license plate from another vehicle.

You'd think there might be a CA floating around as well. If that car is sitting at a dealer and the dealer is open there are going to be people looking at it, yet there is nary a person to be seen anywhere.

So this video is shot in Toronto. Anyone know what he is saying in his other video where he is speaking Chinese for the 2020 car? Is that one also his?

I can't even begin to express how different, it's weird looking at pics of it now having done nothing but that for months.
It's so aggressive in person, it has a presence you just don't get on a screen. There will still be people who see it and won't like it, I've no doubt, but even they will change their minds as time goes on I think. The F80 is a softer beautiful looking car, the G80 is an aggressive handsome one.

I think majority of people will end up liking it once they see it for themselves I have liked it from the beginning its striking I don't want my car to look like everything els on the road and clearly I'm not alone in that because at lest around here you can't get one all orders are spoken for at lest M3 comp

Maybe he had it de-badged as is common in Europe? I doubt it, but it's at least a possibility. I'm still dubious of the video.

Probably some HEA package that arrived early to the showroom and he made a video that it is his?
