I don't need the heated steering wheel and I don't care about the power trunk lid, but the tailgate folds down which makes loading heavy or awkward things easier

It would probably be capable of being added but with the G generation lighting system, it would now require like 50 lines of individual FDL changes or VO coding the vehicle region from US to ECE, which can sometimes creates its own host of issues. Probably not even worth the effort, if it's even possible, IMHO. |

No, for the newer vehicles, not all the modules required to be changed for this feature are available on the Bimmercode APP and there's quite a few that needs to be altered. So, you would require a more invasive program like Esys and really know what you're doing to possible be able to code in this feature. |

Wrong. The executive package gives you the option to set laser high beams to automatic… the car will use the high beams at every opportunity it gets whether you think it’s a good time to use them or not. I use them driving through the city and suburbs at night and they function brilliantly without my input. The exec package as a whole with the HUD and laser light is Worth! Every! Penny!

I got the executive pkg mainly because of the laser head lights, and they are great, as I'm not a fan of HUD. The BMW HUD is the worst option available in my opinion maybe if it was only $200, butt not $1100.Just to see the speed and speed limit who cares and in sport display it only shows the RPM in a graph that is very hard to make out, no digital numbers really? I always end up looking at the dash so now I just drive with it off.

New here and excited to get info. I placed an order back in January for a G82 M4 Competition - just found out it is at port waiting transport to USA - very exciting! I decided against the exec package for the same reason - couldn't justify paying $2,800 just for the upgraded headlights. However, when I look at the spec sheet for my car using the track my BMW site, under standard features it states "Icon Adaptive LED w/Laserlight". Does that mean my car will include the upgraded headlights?

What's up with all the people on this forum misreporting the functionality of BMW's available options? I'm actually seeing a pattern across different platforms. |

But like I stated earlier, the laser light option is absolutely not worth it. No discernible benefit on the highway. Maybe if you're driving on narrow roads with plenty of long straights, you might benefit. Plenty other cars have better high beams without the laser up charge. |

My loaner X5 has laser headlights and they are INSANELY bright once you get out of the city. I also seem to notice less obnoxious reflections from street signs driving in the city but I will agree that for normal driving they aren't that different. (but again, have to be going over 37 to get the lazerbeeemz to fire up) Last edited by jonahk; 04-22-2021 at 11:37 AM.. Reason: 37mph, not 40 my bad |

I was going 55 to 70 each time I tested it, otherwise auto high beam assist stays off. I don't want to cause a nuisance by lighting up houses and windows as I drive through my neighborhood. |
