The guy at my dealership who got the first rwd order, which was his 10th BMW with them, got $0 off.
Depends where you are located and what the demand is.

When asking about loyalty discounts, my dealer said "If there are any discounts they will be applied automatically"... yeah right.

I'm talking to my dealer this week. Going to ask if there is a list and if there is one to put me on it.
I have been going to this place for many years and sent many customers to them. Not expecting a discount but hoping I can be up near top on list.

Southern California dealers are asking premiums on XDrive allocations. You know...because all of that snow and rain we get.

Might have to take this buy out of state.

Wow all of those are asking a premium? I did see at Crevier today they're charging a $15k premium on both the M3 and M4 lol.

Did any of you with deposits down on the AWD receive dates for the press launch and start of ordering? The only date I’ve heard is July for what I understand is start of production.

My 2 local dealers don't have any info yet on AWD other than it'll start production this summer... I told them July and they said yes maybe. I'm guessing orders can be made starting May or June.

Talked to my dealer of many years about getting on a list for allocations when AWD came out.
He said I was the first person to ask so he "put me on the top of the list" which probably means I am on some list that is being maintained.
They have been very good to me over the years so I'm not too worried. This is a big deal for me so trying to cover all the bases without being a pest.

When I first put the deposit down a couple weeks ago he said a vague "July". I'm going to a couple m3/m4 launch events this coming week at 2 different dealers so I'm going to ask around there to see if anyone has any new info on AWD release/ordering time frames.

Where can you find launch events? Does the dealer contact you or is there a website?

That's the number I got too. It's like a G8X cartel in Southern California right now.

Have to wait out the storm or buy out of state.

I saw the M3 Thursday. I really liked it. The front is a lot meaner in person. I will order an AWD later after some of the buzz dies down and transfer out of my current ride. This time next year delivery kind of thing....

Order guides for the next production year typically start filtering out in may so I would guess 2022 MY allocations should follow pretty soon after

Some dealers advertise it, others may just send a letter. In both cases they’re taking reservations for specific time slots - at least the two I’m going to.

Hmm no adverts for the two closest dealers by me. Maybe I will email my SA and see if there is anything planned.
Kinda bummed if they don't do anything.

Didn't see the option during option picking.

But the sale guy said it will be there upon delivery.
Target deliver date is in August.

I don't think it cost extra for the option.
Sale guy said if there is a delay for the M xDrive version.
He is authorized to extend my current lease for up to 4 months.
I think you got taken for a ride TBH. There will 100% be an up charge for xdrive, no allocations released, no options to actually select etc. Does he think all comps are xdrive? A local dealer thought that and I had to tell him he was flat out wrong

Lol, premiums on a car without allocations where they literally don't even know what it will cost? F that.

It does seem to cement that a ton of people have a raging hard on for the AWD version. I think it will be 6MT and AWD as the popular ones, with regular comp being a bit of a poor cousin in comparison

I don't understand why people who want to be the first in line think that dealers will be offering discounts.

Out of state? Out of mind....

I got a discount on dealers 2nd AWD allocation. They claim 1/2/3 will be delivered around the same time.
