Anything not priced nuts is a distant memory, sadly.

Never driven a Hellcat or anything, huh? lol

Also, still fun to toss around a corner, but for the laughs. I drove the Hellcat for the 1st time in weeks on Sunday (Have been using the Miata because weather) and my lady and I were laughing about the night & day difference as I tossed the land yacht around corners.

In track mode it's much better, but still no road course car.

I actually bought the Diablosport suspension controlle for the Hellcat a while back. It dramatically improved turning. It was a bust for me, like many it seems, because it did not actually work properly otherwise. Kept the car in track mode no matter what setting I chose. I promptly sold it. They really should have fixed that bs before they released it. A shame.

You'd be surprised how well a modern truck handles. Are they M3 class, of course not, physics doesn't allow it, but they are an enjoyable drive within their design envelope. If someone said I'd have to pair down to one vehicle, the H3T probably would get the vote based on its utility and driving dynamics. It well covers the spectrum.

My Bronco is the 2.3L/MT drivetrain. On the backroads of WV, it does extremely well dynamically. It actually is somewhat tossable and provides decent feedback through the suspension, brakes, and steering.

My 2 cents.
SUVs/trucks objectively handle much better than they used to, but that doesn't make them "fun" or "engaging" to throw around corners for me. I recently rented a BMW X3 and found it quite disappointing to drive, and even a family member's Macan I drive frequently leaves me wanting more.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Used my 2500 Ram today, bought it new in 2017, now has 33k miles, it’s been 100% perfect. My 2017 X5M needed about $10k last year in maintenance (similar mileage btw). I love driving it. If I had to have one car for everything, it would be a truck. Lots of room, high up, good power, etc.

Trying to explain a truck to people on a BMW forum is like trying to sell EV car benefits on an SRT Hellcat forum. Try it, you’ll like it.

Well, I like to drive pretty much anything and can find "fun" in it. I'd hate to be limited by the mindset that only one type of vehicle (sports car) can be fun to drive. I'd get bored quite quickly.

Some of us don't have trash removal service and have to take their stinky-ass, bug infested trash to the county dump. Go ahead, use the Ferrari Shooting Brake for that.

That's a good mindset but those vehicles will have a different driving character than a light RWD car that can swing the tail out at any moment...

This guy doesn't seem to have any issues swinging the tail end of his truck out at will...

Still doesn't mean they can't be fun to drive. Not flaming, just trying to make a point.

He has a pretty nice Chevy C10 in his collection. I think it's a '69.

honestly, if you cant swing the tail end out of any 1/2 ton new truck, thats a driver issue. They are all around 400hp, light in the back, and when not in 4wd, are rwd.

I've been a pickup owner for over 40 years. Would not be without. So many instances where their carrying, towing, and go just about anywhere capabilities make sense over other types of vehicles. Never as an only vehicle though.
And if you want an interesting errand runner/conversation starter...find yourself a pickup from the '50's...

Not weird at all. I think my next vehicle after my lease is up will be a Ranger Raptor or the new 4Runner. I seem to alternate between SUV/truck and sporty sedan every few years.

Just bought a 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro-X for my daily driver, absolutely love this thing. Having a truck as a DD is awesome and makes me really, really my BMWs when I do pull them out of the garage.

I'm driving one too...(even same color). Next month it'll be 2 years ownership. Good power, good handling (for a pickup). I vote yes.

Amen and Amen!!!!

Despite all of this extolling of the virtues of trucks in general and modern trucks in particular the fact is they still drive like trucks and I have no interest in spending my money to own one! One of the things I enjoy about driving in Chicago is they do not dominate the roads the way they do in Texas. Which is an even better thing, because the drivers in Chicagoland are far and away the worst drivers of anywhere I have lived in my life.
