- front resonator by itself barely worth doing - both resonators + x-pipe (or h) is a modest increase - many people seem reasonably happy with this, and no emissions/smog worries - secondary cat removal best bang for buck, particularly when paired with dual resonator removal + x-pipe (or h). You can also leave rear resonator to take advantage of the x built into that resonator None of those options seems to give drone, and when engine is in comfort with valves closed it's still pretty quiet. I would like to do secondary plus resonator removal. Finding a shop in Cali to do it that isn't a complete hack job is challenging. Thinking of either buying the PSI one and and installing myself (expensive) or doing dual resonators and telling myself to not be greedy |

So if money is no object what is the best exhaust you can install in one of these to give you the best sound but yet you still can cycle the valves be able to dampen it down by pushing the button in the cockpit? |

Volume and tone wise this thing actually has personality now and for me is exactly as rowdy is I like it. Burbles are sick now, much close to how my m2c was. It's also nice you can turn them all them all the way off if you want with the exhaust button. The mid range has a lot more beef to it and the top end honestly seems about the same but louder. The bottom end is savage now especially when you do 1-2-3 short shifts wide open. I think this is 100% the move to do. I have the BMS valve controller in the mail so I can close the valves for the highway because there is definitely drone now especially if you let the car shift itself. 400$ altogether for what I'd call perfect sound. |

Having wired the flaps open at all time, I'm pretty happy with the sound. Burbles have definitely picked up. Personal taste, but the "cracking" exhausts sound Ricer. I would definitely go for a muffler delete, Res only, as my B&Bs had on my C6 Vettes. Cats left alone. Loud--as no mufflers, but Resonators tuned the sound nicely. NPP on my C7 with fuse pulled also sounded great. But, no turbo 6 is ever going to sound like a 6.2 liter V8. Still...always room for improvement.

I would prefer to not have burbles. Don’t get me wrong they are kind of cool for about 15 minutes. Then they get annoying. Popping and banging and burbles. I would just prefer a bad ass rumble sound that I could make louder by opening the valves and dampen them by closing the valves. Any advice as to how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated and I would be glad to buy your dinner. :-)

Also as soon as my BMS valve controller I'll have an idea if valves open burbles off is possible. Currently with my setup the valves are open always. If you press the exhaust button it turns off/down asd and turns burbles completely off. I also think the down shifts are a little bit faster and more crisp with the exhaust button off so that's a bonus. |

You're right. I assumed it was a typo because it was in the G8x forum, but the more I read it the more I think it was just placed in the wrong forum . Mike did say in one of these threads that AA was coming out with a mid pipe solution for the G8x, so there is still hope, but we need clarification.

1. No burbles or pops or at least very little 2. A much louder exhaust sound then stock 3. Valves still work and dampen the sound 4. Doesn’t void power train warranty I would love to drop some coin on this. |
