A 2024 build of my exact same 2023 car is $3,600 more expensive, and just about $8,000 more expensive than the original 2022 car I ordered last year. Gotta love inflation.

Hopefully we'll start seeing more discounts at the dealer level.
$7250 is the diff between my ‘22 and an identical ’24.

As i had posted in another thread. Just looking back on how US MSRP has changed since introduction and using G80c as an example:

MY21 - 72,800 (MY introduction)
MY22 - 72,800 (MY introduction)
MY22 - 73,000 (Mid MY increase)
MY23 - 76,700 (MY introduction)
MY23 - 78,600 (Mid MY increase)
MY24 - 80,200 (MY introduction)

somehow some guy backed out of a pretty bare bones m3 comp xdrive so I put a deposit on it. it's in germany at the port and they're saying it'll be here next month, what kind of shenanigans can I expect from the dealer (if that's not already shenanigans)?

So, I've been a big lover of the 911T, but I just spent some time not he configurator and to get it to where I'd want it, we're talking nearly $150k. For another $15k, I can get a similarly built 4S. I don't see the value there any longer.

Hm, that’s 26k in options. What are you selecting to get it that high? IMO, T options should be kept to a minimum otherwise go to the next model up. My build is at $127k with RAS, 360 camera, Shark Blue, etc. Granted my base MSRP is only 116k, which is before the big bump for all ‘24 models.

I can't recall what all it was...but it was leather and the 18 ways and shark blue. I thought I could build a nice manual base car with all the performance goodies and it turns out I can, but at nearly S money.

I can’t believe they raised the M4 price from 24 release in March and in June. I have never seen that before from any manufacturer.

I already thought my build was crazy in total price.

Hey everyone, looking to return to BMW after a few years. I'm considering a M3 Comp RWD or AWD. I live on Long Island (NY) and the 2 closest dealers are looking for a few thousand over sticker. What is everyone seeing for deals right now? They don't have an allocation anyway so I'm wondering if I put in a deposit to hold my spot and then argue over the price when we're actually ordering the car.
Thoughts?

I don’t live in NY, so I can’t comment on the market there specifically, but I think across the US, the consensus is should be able to find an allocation at MSRP. I just got mine at MSRP, but had another local dealer ask $10K over. If I were you, it’s MSRP or no deal…unless, you have that kind of money to burn because it’s ultimately your money. Do what you want.

The bigger concern in my opinion is the wait for an allocation and the build itself, given recent unpredictable production delays, etc.

If you do find yourself struggling to find one at MSRP and want a quick turnaround on an allocation, I’d message Day Laborer to find you one.

You have to cast a wider net and easily can find allocations for MSRP. Getting an allocation for MSRP can be considered as a good deal. Also if you are on multiple dealer waitlists, you will have better luck in getting an allocation sooner.

Thanks, that's what I'm working on right now. I have a dealer in Philly that will do a MSRP deal, we're going to touch base once he gets his July update. I'm also working on a few dealers in NJ as well. My dealer started at 5 and has been negotiable so I think I might be able to push a little harder to get it done at or close to MSRP, especially if I have a deal in hand.

General question, does anybody's CA's stay in one place? I've bought 6 BMW's or Audi's in the last 15 years and never had the same salesperson twice.

Car sales is a tough business, long days and long weeks, and it’s hard to develop a following. Add to that, the dealerships will fill every desk even though there’s not enough clients to warrant it. Each dealership usually has a small group of guys that have managed to weather all the ups and downs, and stick around for the long haul, but not that many manage it.

This is a good answer, if you’re not going to expand your search, Diesel power , go with a broker like Day Laborer, it’ll cost a few bucks, but you’ll get an allocation a lot faster.

Question:

I have BMW select and I've been paying extra monthly but it appears it just takes it off the next month and there's no way to pay extra principle to lower the balloon.

Can someone verify that's true? I can't find anything saying one way or another.

It appears to do the same for the standard finance…but the total payoff is getting lower.

Anyone know the current residual % and money factor on the below:

2023 M3 Comp xDrive
10k annual miles
36 month lease
North Carolina

Trying to compare interest between a lease and loan, looks like a lease would cost less over a 3 year period vs a loan.

I was given .00250 money factor last week for a 36mo/10k lease, that's estimated 6%.

So you may not have top tier credit...look online and see where you fall.

According to Edmunds the June MF is below...your getting something added on.

36/10
.00190 MF
60% residual Base
55% residual Comp AWD

No, updated rates drop during the first week of the new month with last months rates carrying over a few days.

Start checking Edmunds around the 5th

https://forums.edmunds.com/discussio...als-and-prices

They have an M4 version of this as well and will flip to a new forum for the 2024s

They didn't actually run credit, and I was told BMWNA raised rates starting 7/1 (as with the MSRPs) due to the fed increase.

So that may either be standard "no credit pull" numbers before I get my final numbers when the car delivers.

Residual was also 58% for Comp AWD Cabrio, so I think it's been changing a bit.
