These guys are brutally honest. They are my favorite reviewers. No BS, and just car-talk without bias. They don't like BMWs, but this one was favored. If they were biased they would have thrashed the Xdrive too.

Think the word different should be used. In the good old days hydraulic steeling & vacuum assisted brakes with & without anti-lock are just as artificial.

Am old enough to remember the bitching about "artificial" when Power Steering & Power Brakes were first introduced.

What is artificial feel?are they referring to the numb steering? How's it compared to the M2C?

All modern BMWs feel artificial, including the M2C. The willingness to rotate from the shorter chassis is what makes the M2C "special". The G8X, however, is a slight improvement in handling over the F8X because it's more precise. Still numb, but the other characteristics can make up for it for some drivers, myself included.

Savage Geese is hit or miss for me. I was hesitant to watch this video cause these guys are pretty harsh on BMW in particular (somewhat deserved at times, in my opinion) but seeing the fun they were having actually made me laugh while watching…they look liked they had a genuinely good time with it.

I think each channel offers something unique to their car reviews. SG is pretty cool getting actual engineers who designed the cars to talk on their show. Doug DeMuro is very, very thorough and I find his reviews very objective. Both channels have really great on camera presence and that really helps too.

Marc not liking BMW is tongue in cheek. True he didn't really like the F80 but he loved the F87 and he owned a E90.

But somehow in the end they’d still pick the base, RWD, manual version.

My 2011 335is is one of the last BMWs, IMO, that does not have a numb feeling. It gives you a direct feel of the road. I had it out this weekend for an extended spirited drive and really appreciated how it actually feels and handles. It's very different than my Porsche was (the Porsche felt lighter and nimbler), but very good in its own right.

I can't wait to drive both (335is and G82) back-to-back to compare the feel of each.

Savagegeese grew on me a lot. I prefer their review style over the fluff videos telling me what they think I want to hear.

I have both an m3 comp with AWD and a 2011 335 msport.

The g82 feels way bigger but also way faster.

But the 335 msport (which had stiffer suspension than the base 335) is way more connected to the road. You can slalom the paint dashes in the center of the road and have so much room to maneuver. Maybe this is what the m2 feels like (never driven one) with so much more room on the road.

Still would not trade the m3 bc first time I drove the 335 after the m3 I thought the parking brake was stuck on, but wish the m3 was smaller.

The score is irrelevant, it's in his opinion. The only people who actually pay attention to the score are the people who don't know much about cars.
I find the Doug Score to be the least informative part of his videos. Seems like 95% of cars score between 7.2 and 7.6. Lol.
His narrative is extremely detailed though.

Incorrect. They actually love BMWs. Classic BMWs. They are hard on modern BMWs because the brand has moved so far away from its Ultimate Driving Machine positioning on most models.

Mark explained this in a video once... they are critical of BMW because of how much they fail to deliver on their brand promise. They don't critique Lexus and other brands the same way because they don't claim to be (and never were, like BMW was) the benchmark for driving experience.

Mark has mentioned that he hated his E90. He said the Xdrive is unbelievable which he rarely says.

Not factoring this review at all, Savagegeese has been my favorite reviewer. I like that he is quite critical and can explain build quality by looking underneath. Its a shame that other youtubers have more subscribers but dont seem to have as much knowledge.
