You NEED the carbon buckets

This forum was a God send during the waiting period. Amazing community that answered all my questions and an equally amazing therapy group as we all hopelessly waited for our cars. I finally took delivery of my car on Monday after a relative short 7 month wait (who would have ever thought 7 months was short a few years ago!!). I've put almost 200 miles on the car since Monday night and for all you waiting, it's worth it.

Prior to going into status 150 I was only torn on one option. Carbon buckets vs standard seats! The day before I switched to 150 I changed my spec to Silverstone buckets and I think it may have been the best car decision I have ever made.

I am 5'9 and 165 pounds. For me they fit my frame perfectly and are extremely comfortable. Yes exit is a slight work out but it's getting easier by the day. The comfort is just the added bonus. Dare I say these are the nicest looking seats available on the market right now?! The class, aesthetics, and overall feel of the car is transformed. It makes a great car feel truly special.

So if you are waiting for an allocation or are in status 112 and contemplating, DO IT. You won't regret.

ugh I wanted the buckets so bad.... but I decided I want tartufo more than I want buckets. Sucks BMW makes me choose between the two and doesn't offer tartufo buckets.

Also my wife would hate me if I got the buckets... but eh

I mean at this point, it makes sense to spec the buckets even if you are 100% positive you dont want them bc people are selling them for 10-12k ON TOP OF trade for regular seats.

So spend the 4.5k on the seats up front, then be a douche and sell for 10k and trade seats and profit 5k

5'-7" 145 here. I wanted to love them but did not find comfort. The price was fine, the look is incredible, but if they are not comfortable for me what's the point. I'll be making some long drives in mine and daily driving and am very pleased w the standard seats.

Agree on the buckets…definitely a highlight on this gen and after having a chance to drive one without, it really feels like a different car!

Apparently the m3 touring will get tarfuto buckets

I swear they get all the cool stuff .. if it was an option it would be my first over my silverstone I picked.

100% agree. I am wrestling with it still because I love the look of the buckets. Tartufo is the only interior color that really speaks to me though. I think I would regret not getting Tartufo more than I’d regret not getting the buckets.
