Camera Mount

I've been looking for a camera mount for either the iPhone or a GoPro to record my track days. I preferably want one that would capture my driving inputs so that I can learn what I'm doing right/wrong in the corners. So that means something mounted in the rear or to the passenger seat.

I have the sport seats and saw a few mounts that clamp onto the headrest post but those won't work. What are you guys using to record from a behind the driver perspective? I was thinking a gooseneck suction to the rear window and extend it to the middle of the cabin but I'm afraid that's going to get shaky and not have the best recording. Any help?

Looks like beachBmmr sucessfully mounted to the headrest rail:

I went off the rear window but had another anchor point on the roof grab handle. Its a bit shakey but is easily edited out in post processing.

Thanks! I'm going to try option 1 and see how it goes. Your setup sparked an idea. Wonder if an adjustable bar could be used with suction cups on both sides and it would attach to each end of the rear window. Basically it'd be a bar across the width of the rear. The problem I see is that if you had a g80, you couldn't open the rear doors but it wouldn't be an issue with a g82.

Id be worried about attaching two ends to the windows...Seems like an opportunity to break something at track speed/forces...The headrest mount works pretty well. I dont have track footage yet tho.

The product may looks a bit rough so far but works perfectly as a solution. If you guys like it, I may try to expand my tiny business to oversea market.

What kind of a dimple does that leave in the headliner?
