Quality shop near Boston/west of Boston?

I am picking up my 2024 M4 in a few weeks in Boston and driving it back to Minnesota. Before I make the trip I need to have a Oil Cooler Guard and a NoSho license plate frame installed. The dealership I am picking the car up from isn't willing to do this for me for free (not surprising) so I am looking for a decent shop to do it where the labor will be cheaper.

Anyone have any recommendations or should I just browse on Google?

What area specifically?

I can give you a few names but for the hassle of booking an apt, driving there and leaving it seems a lot easier to have the dealer do it.

Sudbury. I'll be heading west from there

I honestly am not sure if a regular shop will be that much cheaper as it's been years since I have had to have a car worked on, lol.

Yea It’s going to be a big pain in the ass for a small savings if any. Places I’ve worked with are east of there, Newton/Watertown/Waltham

What brings you all the way to Sudbury for an M4?

18% under MSRP brought me.

I already have to purchase a new set of tires (all season) and have them mounted before I leave so I guess I will just have the dealership do it.

Thanks!

Are you planning to stop and do the 1200 mile along the way?

Yes. I will be spending the night around the Green Bay area and take it to a local dealer there to do the service. This trip home is going to be quite the logistical feat.

Fly in, pick up car, have stuff installed, stop by tire shop and have tires swapped, drive to Green Bay, sleep in a AirBNB for a private garage, break in service next morning, get home. Have to make sure all of these appointments are available and setup ahead of time but can't until my plates arrive so there is only so much planning I can do right now. Regardless, it will all be worth it.

Won’t they give you a temp plate? Also kind of shitty they won’t install those for you. Your car is new so the suspension hasn’t settled. A metric set and less than an hour should do it.

Massachusetts does not do temporary plates apparently.

As for why they won't do it, guessing the deal I got may have something to do with it.

Gotcha. I checked and it’s only if you are resident. I bought in NH and used my office as an address. Must be why i got one (tax free for the win)
