Have not used XHP so can’t comment.
Paddle response and changing gear overall is quicker.

Used Esys for the EGS flashing.

Why not? Is the DME for the 3.0 CSL different? Also, the 6MT doesn't have transmission software. The shocks are different too so it's unlikely that reflashing the firmware for the shocks will be a beneficial change.

If one had a flashing device, would one then be able to copy the file used by the tuner so that when an update (OTA/Dealer) is installed, one could refresh it themselves after the fact?

Then said person could turn around and flash vehicles for a lesser price. I am sure remote flashers do not leave any copies for you locally to reflash.

Sadly I do not know how the CS software is vs. xHP. I wish there was some comparisons.

This is not entirely true. Many after market flashers are locked to a specific vehicle once the flashing process is started. It is completely possible have a device that is fully committed to a singular vehicle until it’s intentionally unpaired.
