Hi Folks,

Does anyone know when can we order G82 from the BMW Canada configurator ? the bmw canada order guide mention July 2022.

Also my understanding that the G82 2023 will have no changes at all from the current model 2022? no Idrive 8 ?

so it will be the same exact car but year 2023? is my understanding that correct?

No idea. My dealer can't even put an order for the 2023 G82 into the system yet or change my 2022 order into a 2023. They can only order the Cabriolet when it comes to the M4 at the moment for some reason. I don't understand why that's the case when the order guide says that the coupe guide should be effective July 1st, 2022.

It seems like the car's base price will be different, along with what's included in some of the packages and their costs. No Idrive 8 from what I know, and I can't find the Display Key on the 2023 order guide, so I'm a bit worried that might not be an option for the 2023 model.

you are right, same thing to me with my dealer.
Also there will be no frozen dark grey and no packages like ultimate etc.

I actually happy that this Idrive 8 is not going into G82 next year. but i was expecting any other enhancements or features for a new model.

2023 US configurator has I drive 8 complete with beautiful curved display...I don't see why Canada would be different.

That's for G80 23 but for G82 it will be the same as the current model.

G82 will get curved screen In 24

Configurator is not up and running yet, but the order book is open. Dealer can put orders into the order book (with all the new MY23 pricing, packages, etc.)

*I did this back in June and then received my allocation shortly after with a week 29 build and production number. Currently at status 112.

*I would preference this by noting that I was originally a week 20 build for a MY22 and was pushed into a MY23 build and was given priority for having my build pushed out. Nevertheless, dealers do have the ability to put orders in, then convert them once they receive their allocations.

Placed my order today and SR told me iDrive 8 is on it. M3.

MY23 G80 will have iDrive8 and no display key. The two maybe linked.

Thank you for the info! Might have to contact my salesman to see if my name is in the order books and not just the dealerships list. The last few times I talked to them they made it sound like they're waiting for some type of dealer configurator to become available before being able to put the car into the system.

I attached the pricing guide below. from what I noticed here are the changes.

1. No more M3 Competition. Just the M3 Manual and xDrive.
2. the G80 only will have iDrive 8. The G82 & G83 still have iDrive 7.
3. Display Key no longer an option. Most likely due to iDrive 8.
4. Premium Package no longer includes Ventilated Seats ($900), Universal Remote Control ($300), and Seat Heating, Front & Rear (Dont know what happened to this). Now includes Sensatec Dashboard & Digital Cockpit (iDrive 8).
5. No More Ultimate Package
6. The Wheels are now called "Jet Black" and have a Burnished version and no Bi-Colour.
7. Wireless charging is back ($300)
8. The Following have been removed from standard options. MDrive, Km/h Speedometer, BMW Live Cockpit Profesional, Smartphone Integration (All iDrive 8), Rear-seat headrest folding
9. The following have been added to standard options. Digital Cockpit Plus, BMW Curved Display (Both iDrivce 8).

What's MDrive? Is it that 10 traction control setting?

M carbons seats are $4000 on BMW.ca but my order has it at $5500 (no package).

Anyone know more?

Those are 2022 prices on bmw.ca, the 2023 price guide has them for 5500

For those of you looking for some info on Canadian price increases here is what I can tell you based on my MY23 M4CX build.

BASE PRICE HAS INCREASED $1900 ($94,300- $96,200)

PREMIUM PACKAGE HAS DECREASED ($6,300-$5,850)

FULL CARBON PACKAGE HAS INCREASED ($8,500-$10,000)

NO PRICE CHANGE ON THE FOLLOWING:

-STANDARD PAINT
-M COMPOUND BRAKES
-SHADOW LINE HEADLIGHTS
-CARBON FIBRE TRIM

Based on what we are seeing in the US, I think the Canadian market made out quite well. I was expecting more sticker shock based on what the US market did on the base price alone.

I have checked bmw ca - the new m3 with curved display is up but it still shows as 2022

Finally was able to convert my 2022 order into a 2023 M4 order today. I'm first in line for the M4 and the dealerships hoping to get an allocation for August.
