Thank you for this data point! My estimated completion date is today, but my tracker is still at production begins. I just got off the phone with BMW and they said the tracker isn't very accurate, and I should call back tomorrow to see if it was actually completed today. Yours got pushed, but not by much. There's hope for mine then.

And mine as well! I have Sept 7 as my completion date but has not moved from production begins. Called the hotline and the automation said that my completion date is still Sept. 7.

You can't do that without creating a new order. I think it will push out delivery to next year.

My car is now on its way to the port! The final date they provided once car reached "Exterior Assembly" was accurate. Prior to that my date was 8/30. As soon as I reached Exterior Assembly it was changed to 9/7. Personally I would go with that date if you guys are tracking.

I was surprised it took only 2 days to go from Entering Assembly Line to being Dispatched from Factory.

Have you called Genius recently? If so, what date have they given you?

I called last week and they updated me to 9/9. I’m on vacation so I’m *limiting* myself to only checking the website. If I’m on the same schedule you were, their updated timeline may actually hold true. 🤞🏽

Just finished a call with genious. She told me that car production was pushed one week. She is saying that it's still under week 36, but now they counting week 36 as start week, not completion...

I think it's a lot more than parking assistance brother. Look at all the other auto manufacturers that are shutting down due to lack of materials. Look at all the houses in New Orleans that are not going to get rebuilt anytime soon due to lack of materials. Also remember this. What we are feeling now is based off what governments did a year ago. They are shutting everything down again now so next year is going to be worse. I'm pissed off about the car but I'm really feeling grateful right about now that I have a roof and a house that's not leaking. still though I hope you're right and if you hear anything definitive please post it here as I will continue to follow this thread.

I called Genius today, order was originally done in the early part of June. I have an individual order so my start date was this past week, my online status shifted back to Order Received. Genius says that there is now no date in for my start date

We may not be on the same ship, since my port of entry will most likely be Galveston since I'm in Houston, TX.

Can't comment on what's the actual reason for the hold up, but I'm guessing they try to fill up a quota before on boarding the cars on the ship instead of sending a handful. Keep in mind, the ships are shared with other manufacturers, not just BMW.

You can call Genius and they should be able to give you the ship name and estimated date when the car will reach its destination port after it has been on boarded.

iviegatron, that's an excellent read about the vehicles.. I thought the Ship would stop at Galveston TX drop off a few cars and head west thru the Panama Canal and up to Oxnard Ca.

As of this morning my status flipped to exterior body assembly I still think the new estimated completion date of 9/10 is a bit optimistic but fingers crossed it won't be much longer. The wait is agonizing especially since I'm driving my wife's Tucson around town after selling my z06

This morning the automated system says my car has started production with an estimated completion date of yesterday! One of those two things can't be correct. Plan on calling and talking to a human in a little bit.
