nah. i was on exterior build, yesterday. we'll see if they meet the target of completion by Thursday. interestingly enough...it looks like PenFed is no longer doing Payment Saver program. not that that was the way we were going to go but...it WAS an option. wild that im not sure how we're gonna pay for this thing we've spent so much time trying to acquire. hahahahaha

Hopefully you don't get stuck in the paint booth like I did. Been in there for over a week now. Getting a gut feeling my car won't be completed by 9/7.

Wish BMW had a live feed you can tap into so you can watch your car being built. Track each stage by the VIN number. For example If your car went for paint the VIN would be scanned so you know to view the cam in the paint booth. Or if your engine was being built you can tap into the cam there. If a worker was slacking you can report him too. Wishful thinking.

i got fooled watching the Shmee vid of his car going thru the assembly line. i figured it'd take about 14 mins to get the whole damn thing done. smh...

Lol...I've watched that video so many times. Even shared it with my wife (she showed no interest). Makes you think they must be making hundres of cars per day at that speed. I must have some lazy ass robots painting my car.

ugh I'm in the same boat, I've been in "Production begins" with no updates. I also was in "Production scheduled with no production date" for two weeks and then all of a sudden it was in production. I've found Genius to be unreliable.

Today the same thing happened to me. I just took a step backwards. Order went in last week of July. They told me production would begin this week. Maybe I should drop the parking assist which I was hesitant about to begin with and only got for the cameras?

Join the gang, this happened to me and a few others in the UK last week! We've all been pushed to week 40. Dealer seems adamant that it won't get delayed any more but nobody knows for sure.

Hoping to go back to 112 sometime next week

My scheduled completion date is supposed to be today but it still just says production begins. Have to wait till tomorrow to call bmw genius since it's labor day. At least I haven't gone backwards like some of you.

My status changed to "Entering Assembly Line" today after being in the paint booth for over a week. My car is supposed to be completed by tomorrow. I'm doubting tomorrow's date. Fingers crossed!

For me, the automated system saying the same - the estimated completion date is September 6th (today), but still in `Production Begins`. I think we will have at least a 1-week delay if not more.

Their week depends on when the car will be completed, not when production starts. For example, I'm week 36, my schedule estimated completion is 9/7. My current status is "Assembly in Progress." Hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow.

If you're given a week by your dealer or Genius, then that's the estimated week when the car will be completed.

I've never heard of that. Maybe others can chime in.

A production start week doesn't buy you anything since there can be several delays in between stages. A completion week at least gives you an idea when you can expect the car to be completed and probably estimate when it'll hit the dealers. All the build week threads are for completion only.

Sad times, I have been pushed back to Week 43! Nothing I can do I guess so, now I'm expecting my car to get in December. They stated that it's probably the parking assistance package. The guy said if you have an M3, the option will not be removed, but it will take a while to get the order, and if you have a 3 series that is not an M3, it will be removed.

I think it’s a lot more than parking assistance brother. Look at all the other auto manufacturers that are shutting down due to lack of materials. Look at all the houses in New Orleans that are not going to get rebuilt anytime soon due to lack of materials. Also remember this. What we are feeling now is based off what governments did a year ago. They are shutting everything down again now so next year is going to be worse. I’m pissed off about the car but I’m really feeling grateful right about now that I have a roof and a house that’s not leaking. still though I hope you’re right and if you hear anything definitive please post it here as I will continue to follow this thread.

Spoke to the genius this morning my estimated completion date has moved from 9/6 to 9/10 but that production actually began on aug 24th. My status on the tracker hasnt moved from production begins but they assured me thats normal. Guess ill see on friday.
