Also notice the titanium exhaust on the blue car (lightweight).

My bet is that the CSL will be launched in time for BMW M's 50th anniversary in 2022 😉👌
I'm still hopeful we'll get a M4 CSL with a 3.0 shell like we've seen in hte past as a 50th gift.....

Half cages are often present in manufacturers' test mules due to safety. Has got nothing to do whether the production vehicle is getting one or not.

Looks amazing, but will we be able to get this with a roll cage in the US?

The Camaro has a supercharged V8 and like 0 trunk space or rear room and the non 1LE version will still have a slower lap time than the M4 lol The 1LE version has a gigantic spoiler to generate additional downforce that maybe BMW will add to a G8x at some point. Anything in the 7:2X range would be absolutely ridiculous for the M3/M4 and the rumored time seems to be in that range. If the G8x is as fast as the outgoing m4 csl how fast is this csl version gonna be
But it's a camaro.......gross

It won't be a problem for most. They'll only make a handful.

Removing the rear seats is not a good thing in a front engined BMW. It’s already heavier at the front. Adding the rollcage most likely balances back the car.

Oooh CSL, 1/2 cage, rear seat delete, titanium exhaust...now we're talkin !
Aluminium vented bonnet ?
Proper 1 piece buckets or just the carbon buckets ?
Id suggest it will be auto only due to manual box' lower power rating.
Either way gonna be a nice ride.

How many G82 M4 test mules with a cage have we seen before?

Or other test mules testing on the 'ring for that matter?

Your opinion is your opinion. However, the admin are armed with facts given to them by internal sources @ BMW M.

As previously stated, you know how we know it's a CSL? @Jason said so. They have a long "track record" (pun intended) of having inside info from numerous forum members.

At some point it was rumored that the CSL variants in general (not specific to the G8X) would use more extreme body alterations, similar to what AMG does with the Black-series.

Agreed. He was asking the likelihood they would widen the track though. That's zero point zero. That's a huge undertaking.

The F82 GTS has a wider front track than the regular F8X...

AMG did it for their black series models. Why can't BMW do it for an expensive, limited run car. If they have to, add another $20k and people will pay it if the car looks the business.

The thing is BMW is aiming to add that 20k to the price tag WITHOUT having to do the extra investment .
