Semi retired mech eng. worked for the big 3 in Oz...Ford, Holden, Toyota & also some years in the mining industry.
Keep myself busy nowadays trying to help give something back to the local Motorsport community with stewarding, scrutineering, young driver training, race prep etc.

IT Infrastructure and Operations Director here.

Worked my way up from Database Administration in mid 90's to management and never looked back.

We do seem to have a lot of IT people here.

I work as Manager of Projects so I'm responsible for over 30 Project Managers at an engineering company doing work in the commercial nuclear industry and for the department of energy.

Worked for many years in the oil&gas business for various large companies like Kazmunaigaz and Petrochina. Quit that in 2014 and became a real estate developer, I really wanted to be an urban planner, but this is the next best thing.

I am a financial advisor. Most of my clients are either engineers or finance people. Part time marriage counselor, career counselor, job offer negotiator, car lease consultant.

I find the client relationships very rewarding. Managing money is boring.

I have people on my team that manage the investments (~180M).

Much different than the GR Supra forums I'm on. Lots of younger kids who are working as Twitch Streamers or Youtube vloggers. I guess this car does cost about $30-40k more so it makes sense.

I'm yet to have a G8X, but I'm a co-owner of a low-voltage tech company that specializes in Fire Alarm systems and Security Systems in the Chicagoland area.
