Exactly. And don't forget all the praise the Alfa Quad received despite using the ZF back in the day when it was compared against the F8X DCT.

It seems like the ZF is a almost perfect transmission until BMW M uses it. THEN, holy shit, it turns out it sucks! You can totally feel it while buying toilet paper at Walmart! Just leaving the driveway, you can feel it is nothing like the DCT.

[Mind you I prefer the DCT]

I have seen smart cars going about the same speed on the Autobahn. Drivers are generally very competent in Germany.

Can you explain this K plate thing?

It's not for US military or any diplomats...

The car in the video isn't US spec and has dealer decals from Eindhoven.

Who gets K plates in the Netherlands?

I wish Australian drivers were that competent

I will preface and admit I have not driven an M3 generation before the E9X series, however I have driven an F82 and own an E93 and recently the G80 in manual and of the three generations, taking everything into account the G80 is the best M3 I have ever driven. I don't have any issues with the looks, I like aggressive and welcomed the change with an open mind and wallet and believe the G8x series just may be the best M3/4 ever made.

Main reason:
The M3 base G80 feels so distinctly different in four door sedan efficient, comfort, wife and kids mode to sport plus M hooligan/track ready mode to any M car I have ever driven by a large margin. It's a killer car and it is an absolute head turner, imho

Yeah, I saw in the video where they said it was a dealer car (I don't think dealer plates are K plates). From my knowledge K plates are military vehicles (like a Dutch Army Truck) but also cars that are registered via a military base (JFC Brunssum in my case). It's similar to BN/GN plates but not quite as obvious. Not necessarily specific to US spec cars (mine is euro spec).

Interesting...

FWIW, wiki says K-###-AA are for 2020 and 2021 registrations on regular cars.

I'm pretty sure Dutch military use KL, KZ, KM and a few other variations.

RC and AF are for foreign military.

Entirely too convoluted... Germany makes it a lot easier.

And I think my G07 M50i is fun. My driver's license would be revoked on day one with this rig.
