I personally think BMW will make a better hybrid performance car though...when it arrives
A 4500 lbs hybrid-V4 "compact performance sedan" won't put (m)any smiles per miles on my face. 100% guaranteed.

That's cool to see the RS5 has Akrapovic type-approved exhaust meeting the UK decibel limit standards. Still dummed down volume but noticeable dramatic sound nonetheless.

I own a 19 RS5 sportback. Owned it now for about two years. Beautiful car but I'm actually waiting for the xdrive g80 m3 and likely trade in next year. I hate buying first year M3 models...owned a couple first year M3s in the past and I always felt like a beta tester. Lol. I love the aggressive front end look of the new m3. Likely be ordering it in frozen blue or whatever the official name is. I think I'm in the minority here as far as loving the looks coming from the Audi side. RS5 is definitely more of a safe look. I'm going back and forth between m2cs or g80 but I like having that awd where I live. That xdrive m3 is going to embarrass a lot of cars...

Right. Me neither. But this kind of competitive innovation will make our M cars even better moving forward. Hopefully

Decades ago, Mercedes' engineering philosophy was:
"If a driver is experiencing more than 0.7g in a turn, he is about to crash."

Things haven't changed much.

Would the electric motor in the new C63 be handcrafted

So if not handcrafted. Will it still worth being called real AMG? The way things are going the C43 would be a more worthy AMG.
