This review just felt like a pr video, just like his initial M4 test drive video.
Chris Harris's video was a lot more balanced and subjective, so don't think we'll learn new information about the driving dynamics from majority of the low budget reviews. |

Joe is good to be fair and mostly keeps it real, he will state if he doesn't like something, not completely biased. He started out chauffeuring in his 7 series and then moved onto Youtube videos and it's still relatively early days for him. He does have a relationship with Tony Lewis at BMW Berry in the UK and he is BMW fanboy (like all of us) but has reviewed other cars such as Audi, Merc and Porsche. I think he is trying to expand the cars he can review. He also has a website called Ctrl and Shift selling T shirts etc.
Each to their own but I like them...by the way did I mention he's 6ft 4" |

I already have the hard wax / coating applied and thinking if I should have gone with PPF instead. The colour is HS and planning to keep the car for a while. Any suggestions?

That is the impression I was getting as well. His likes seemed authenticate and the points of concern or dislikes seemed genuine as well.

Absolutely love those seats. And they keep the ladies legs separated, as it should be.
Here’s to hoping my wife doesn’t read this post. And that I can install a pair of these in my F80...

Mines going strong with a year of Labocosmetica, no swirls or scratches to report. Mind you I am the only one who washes it. I have film on the rear bumper lip to protect the load area but you can see a hard edge and I'm not a huge fan. Needs must. I think Joe is overdoing it a bit, the colour is fine if looked after. Though i'd have the M in black, only colour to hide its face. Last edited by MD707; 03-31-2021 at 09:30 AM.. |

The car I am leaning towards is a 992 GT3. To me it is perfection as is, but I am seeing other people who have owned several 911s and GT cars criticize the car for various reasons including the rear wing, it is very similar to what we have seen on these forums regarding the progression of the M3/M4 from previous generation owners. When you are new to a brand or model you tend to see it from a different perspective, and I think that is the case with the G80/G82. The car looks completely different with a fresh set of eyes. I really think this car is going to bring in people from other brands, and I am not saying it is based on a specific region they are targeting, I just believe the same value proposition is still there on the G80 vs the competitors in the same price range. I can also see people looking to upgrade from another BMW that have yet to experience an M3/M4 looking at this to be the perfect step up. Last edited by CityLife; 03-31-2021 at 02:42 PM.. |

2) You should be doing a lot more than just leaning the GT3s way. You should be keeled over 3) it’s like comparing the new McDonalds Quarter Pounder, which is a 100000x better than the original to a A5 Wagyu 4) no offense to the G8X (I’m buying one after all) but the GT3 is a purpose built tool. Not an everyday car and not in the same league. |
