Ceramic coating on the leather works amazing by not only making it easy to keep clean ( I have oyster Merino) but it also seals in the natural oils of the leather. I have 9000km after 10 months and no marks or stains wearing blue jeans and having a dog.. The product I used is from
https://gyeonquartz.com/product/leather-shield/ hope that helps.

Not worth the added cost when you lease for 3 years, turn in and repeat with a factory new TB paint job.

Another perspective is that ceramic pro is worth the expense because you'll have "a factory new TB paint job" right up to the last day of ownership.

How long do you qualify as "ownership" as with a lease BMWFS is the owner?

NO COLOR is as nearly as bad ass.

It's a fact that you need to be prepared for what needs to be done from day 1..

But do it correctly, once ... and no worries for years.

Step 1 Full Paint Correction
Step 2 Full Film
Step 3 Kamikaze
Step 4.... laugh at all those that have Tanzanite without doing these steps. Looks completely different when done correctly.

as far as wear and tear on seat bolsters, I am sure someone will do a nice cover solution. We had the same problem with Porsche bucket seats and you can buy a cover

It is my understanding the seats are an option so if you don't want them don't order them.

I daily drive a Lotus Exige and the human origami required to enter and exit thanks to muscle memory simply becomes a non event after a week and it becomes second nature while you have the benefits of the seat if you do some track work.

I've been back and forth on this car so many times, even watching this video at the beginning I was getting excited about maybe going M3/M4 again, but by the end I was no longer feeling it. It isn't so much the grill or transmission/lack of DCT, but 12 years of being in a variation of a 3 series (335i, 328i MSport, F80 M3), there isn't enough here to get me excited, maybe it is just general brand fatigue. I can see how this car could get people who are new to the brand excited. If I had skipped on the F80 I probably would have gone with this car.

We're already off topic, so let's not get into semantics. Im only pointing out that there's different perspectives on the value of ceramic coatings or even PPF on a leased vehicle.

Very true. I also have a Taz F80 for the last 3 years. No issues with swirl marks on the paint.

No one ever washes my car, except me. No car washes. Proper washing technique, tools and materials are the key, as others have said. Swirl marks are introduced during the washing process, particularly if you use circular motions while you wash.

I do not obsess over the paint, but I do use a some common sense. I love the color, and I do not mind the extra care. I would get it again.

Now, frozen paints, that is another story. I am definitely not ready to maintain frozen paint jobs.

I used the same on the cognac leather in mine. Works really well. Quick wipe over every few weeks with some diluted APC and they look like new. Would 100% recommend for any leather

the ultimate trick would be to swap one carbon bucket with another same color normal seat owner, so there would only be the ccb for the driver in the two cars ... WIN-WIN

I think he meant turn the car in and get a new one with the same (fresh) paint colour eg why pay for PPF etc when you know you will get a new car in 3 years and the odd swirl doesn't bother you.

Very true and cleaning a nicely sealed car is quite a time saver I found. PH neutral wash then just dry, looks glossy and like new.

They're caused by incorrect washing techniques but some paints are particularly susceptible to damage. Not all paint from an OEM is created equal, and it's common for some colors to be more prone to damage.

It's possible that TB itself is more easily damaged than the black despite showing damage similarly.

I am on my second TB car. Its high maintenance but ceramic coating and careful washing is all that's required. If you want no maintenance, go Oxide Silver.

At the 7:52 mark you get to hear how the UK version of an S58 sounds. You really have to turn the volume up to hear it.

I learned how to correct paint on nothing but black cars my whole life- After you learn how to take care of black cars. All others are easy! Bottom line is don't go cheap on taking care of your paint!

A guy that helps promote BMW dealer sales has something good to say about a new product he helps sell. Surprise!
