I just got my build sheet back from the dealer today with a production number and status 111.

After reviewing I see option 5AZ ICON Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight and N/C.

I didn't order the exec package because other than that option I didn't see any value.

Did I just win the build lotto? Or am I missing something?

Seems like they have been including the laser headlights even without the Exec pkg and without any clear answers yet as to why.

My car arrived at the dealership yesterday, it has laser lights without the exec pack. But also note that when I had built it in the configurator, laser lights showed up in the summary page, and exterior preview. Now, they are gone and don't show up in configurator. They were there until ~3 days ago. Not sure what's up.

My only option was the carbon bucket seats and I have "Icon Adaptive LED w/Laserlight" listed under Standard Features. I got $500 off because of the driving assists missing so maybe BMW additionally included these lights as a goodwill item.

Who is going to call BMW Genius to confirm?

Thanks for the quick reply...I'm definitely NOT calling. Sounds like I got lucky, and after buying 6x BMW's in 6 years...I'll take freebie once in a while.

I doubt this is a mistake. My i8 has them although 150K car it came out in 2014. That tech should have trickled down now to be standard in an M3.

Even if you look at the M8, the tech in it has essentially all trickled down to the M4 already. The cameras(3D), the drive recorder hell the M4 has the traction 1-10 and the m progressional the M8 doesn't have 😂.

These cars are becoming less "classed".

Similar thing happened with early adopters of the F80, they got heated rear seats without ordering the exec package. BMW’s way of rewarding the first customers I guess or just an inventory planning miscalculation. Rather than delaying orders to wait for lesser options they ship the upgraded option if in stock.

My order just went in today and also has them. They showed up on the dealer's order print out and on the BMW tracking page.

Edit: D'oh! I just went into production scheduled status. The dealer sent me the updated page to show that he changed it to Performance Center delivery and the 5AZ Laser Lights aren't on the build sheet anymore. Oh well, easy come, easy go.

I just picked up my new M4 Comp yesterday and lo and behold, I too won the Laser Light Lottery. I did not spec the Exec. Package on my build sheet as I have no interest in any of the package features with the exception of the Laser Lights. If it were possible to order them individually I would have done so.

When I saw the car though, there they were, and they are listed in the accompanying equipment list as Icon Adaptive LED w/Laserlight NC. Thank you BMW.

On the other hand I lost the tire lottery. Pirelli P Zero's.

I am taking delivery tomorrow of a new 2022 M3 Comp. Xdrive. I had to use the non-Xdrive 2021 M3 comp configurator and I don't recall laser lights as being a separate option.

I did option with exec package but I don't think I am gonna have the laser lights cause on my final build sheet print out it shows them as unselected option. I started to look for them aftermarket and ebay has a few but crazy $$$.

I did however get with tire lotto - Michelins!

I also configured with parking assistance package but when I look at the configurator today it's not a option that can be selected so I might have one of the few cars with that.

I'm mad I did not configure with M Driver Pro. Wondering if I can code that.

You won't have the lasers; that's for sure.

Parking assistance is available still, its just not an option on the configurator. You won't be one of the few; you'll be one of the many.

I don't believe M Driver Pro is codable.
