What tire pressure are you running?

I have the 19/20 826s on the G80 and I was wondering if people are following the tire recommendations on the door? Looking for road use, not track settings. Thanks

I usually run my tires about 2-3 psi higher than the specified amount. With this approach I have gotten pretty good mileage and wear out of the tires. On my old F82 with PSS I was closing in on 20K mi with the expectation that I would be replacing the tires between 22K and 25K. I drove somewhat moderately but aggressively when the road and traffic permitted.

Checked mine this morning and they were all different and over inflated. Left rear was 42!
Set them to 32/33 per door jamb sticker. Ride quality improved as expected.

This makes me crazy. If you can’t get something as simple as tire pressure right why would I trust you with something complex.

It’s such a common issue that I usually check the pressure before a test drive. Drove a Giulia QV last year that felt like a truck. Checked the pressure and they had something north of 20psi over recommended.
Salesman told me this was normal because it was cold out.

They all do this to every car they get their hands on. New cars prepped for delivery; their entire inventory; demos; loaners; and cars in for service or repair. I have never received a logical explanation for this so I have stopped asking. Like "Bill" said...I just learned to accept those things over which I have no control. When picking up your car or a loaner, those of us OCD types (and you know who you are) are just going to have to reset the tire pressure. Namaste.

Addendum: Just picked up my new M4 Comp yesterday and sure enough...rated pressure on the door jamb 32lbs. front & rear...actual pressure 50lbs. Felt like the tires were made of concrete. Like I said Namaste.

I have such a problem that I check the tire pressure and usually oil & wiper blades of friends and families cars whenever they stop by. My wife thinks it’s only a matter of time before I’m wandering parking lots with a tire gauge and a hand pump.

Run the pressures calculated by iDrive.

My tire pressures were too high as well from delivery and the iDrive settings were set to “other/track”… when I switched it over to the 20” rear and took air out to 32/33psi, my tire pressure warning comes on every time I start my car now.

Not sure what the issue is.

Change the tire type/setting in the iDrive.
I set mine to Track/other tires and it doesn’t bug me anymore. Which I am running wider wheels and tires any ways but it stopped the finicky light from coming on.

I run mine 35F and 38R. I understand the firmer ride and center wear. I honestly can't stand the soft ride and the inside camber wear with the lower inflation so I always increase my tires with cambered cars 3-6lbs but I never run the max pressure on the sidewall of the tire
