I should clarify. The interior colors should be black with red, white, and blue inserts/accents instead of the red white and blue being the dominant colors. I’m very particular about interior colors. I do admit I completely missed the saddle option.

Where are you guys seeing all these colors? When I go to the Build Your Own site I get limited colors on both the exterior and interior. Do I need to adjust computer settings or is there a better site?

It's really missing a blue. Previous generations had LSB, YMB, etc. I know it's entirely subjective but for me, Portimao Blue is not only a non-M Color, it's boring as sh*t. Then again, I think my San Marino Blue CS is boring and I think every blue except Yas Marina Blue is boring...

but yeah, it's missing a blue, so I went Fire Orange because they wouldn't approve YMB Individual.

You get Portimao and Tanzanite Blue as standard colour, this time they offered IOMG instead of a blue.
Still the possibility to go full individual (as you did) and there are tons of blues, not only YMB which wasn't approved...

I really don't get how people can hate here on BMW, they really offer A LOT of possibilities.

yes, Frankie and I both went individual since we weren't thrilled with their blues, but it cost us an extra $4500. A normal priced unique interesting blue would have been nice to have. I know a lot of people are fond of it but I can't do a green car.

And an additional 2 months of waiting. I literally never complain about anything and try to be a ray of positivity in these forums but this is my f*cking Alamo lol.

Don't get me wrong IoMG is amazing, I would have definitely ordered it had I seen it in person. I would even consider SPY for my 2nd G80. They are missing one color in the palette for me.

I agree with others that BMW should give us a more unique blue color for the launch. I don't hate the IOMG but it reminds me of the "Artec Green" from those 90's Civic and Integra that all my friends had back in the days. I still have not ordered my G82 because of having a hard time picking the color. Likely BG but just not loving it.

But you do see that you are complaining on a VERY high level?

Yes they don't offer a "M Blue unique" colour, but there are 2 different blues in the standard setup.
Did they really offer on every M3 in the past a unique blue or was it only with the F8x ?

It's a big deal to me and several other people I know (both on here and in the NYC car community). BMW did it deliberately. It was a cost saving function to not come up with something different than Portimao. Tanzanite is so dark it's more black than blue to me under a lot of lightning conditions.

E36 had santorini blue, E46 had Laguna Seca, E92 had Interlagos Blue which was nothing special (to me) and could have just as easily been on a Honda Accord, the F80 had Yas Marina Blue (probably my favorite paint on any car ever).

I think it's the Euro configurators that have all the other color options. In the US one there's only the four. I really wish we had a red option too that's not BMW Individual special order at like $5K more.

Fiona isn't an individual option. There is no extra charge per the order guides.

Post above is right it seems. It's not on the online configurator, but the ordering guide posted here:

https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...Ordering+guide

Shows more interior options. No pricing though; does anybody know if there's an updated US pricing guide to match this ordering guide?

The other two blues are the same colors for the M440i. I love my YMB today and that is why I am hesitating to order the G82. Likely BG but not loving it.

Yes, neither of which is very interesting. Both nice, but neither very exciting for an M car.

The frozen PB I think is pretty exciting for an M car but most don't want the extra hassle that comes with matte paint (myself included).

Yea, no frozen colors for me. I saw a frozen black car and it looked like someone had painted it with spray paint from walmart.

A frozen version of a boring color is not all that exciting to me. Initially I specc'd my car with FPB, changed it to TR, then got FO approved.

The matte effect is amazing but the color it's based on is really nothing special.

I think differently with respect to colors and I find my SMB CS to be boring lol.

I think differently as well, hence my order of SPY with Yas.

I did think about going individual but I'm really trying to keep the spec under $90k. I'm even now getting more and more tempted to include the carbon fiber buckets on my build the more I see them but then that really puts me at just under the $90k mark.
