Winter Wheels

Hi together,

I didn't find anything specific beside the 19" Winter Tyre Set from BMW.

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy aftermarket 18" Wheels for the Winter?
The Front Disc is bigger than the rear and the default setup is 18/19 so I guess it should be possible to set all 18" or am I wrong?

Thank you !

I would not see any technical reason why this should not be possible...:

I guess we need to wait and see to have a final answer...

It should be technically possible, but to keep the same diameter as the stock rear wheels you would have to go with a 275/40-18, small rim and high sidewall, not really good looking for my taste.

You don't need to change to 275/40, the 19 in back are 285/35 so you just need to compensate for the smaller rim and go with 285/40...
Then you have a total diameter change „Abrollumfang" of +0,5%, no issue..

But agree for the looks, think this will look awkward on the back, personally I already think 18" in front looks weird...the car is screaming for big wheels by its size

As of right now, there is no 18" OEM wheel for the G80/G82.

As always, aftermarket might have an 18" option as more of these get on the road.

As it stand right now, the 19 inch option is
M Double Spoke 829M
F:36 10 8 093 844
9Jx19 ET:20
R:36 10 8 093 845
9.5Jx19 ET:20

275/35R19 all around.

275/35/19 is some seriously fat and aggressive rubber for winter use. There aren't really any other 19" sizes that make sense though to keep same tire diameter. Having offsets the same front to rear is helpful though.

Doing a quick look through some aftermarket wheels and finding 19x9.5 et20 5x112 is VERY difficult.

oem base G8x spec come with 18″/19″ M forged alloy wheels, code 824, with double spoke design and Orbit Gray finish

I'd endeavour to buy 2 more 18" wheels to run 18" all round for track etc

Sorry, probably a dumb question. But without a ton of winter wheel options yet, can you put winter tires on the 963m's ?

Yes you can. I am getting these wheels for my winter setup but I'll be running the Michelin Alpin Pilot Sport tires.
