There has to be a certain amount of 'give' and some things you can't keep measuring and just have to base on trust. If you don't mind me being direct when will you be ready for marriage.

That relationship ended Dec 2012, so a lot has changed. I'm more ready now. I was a year or so into a new career, we were going to relationship counseling, etc. She looked at marriage as a fix-all.

Haha! I wonder if you had replied, "No!," if he would've considered it a deal breaker. Lol!

She wanted to get married while you were not ready, I see and she didn't want to carry on as it was.

Yes. Counseling revealed issues we both needed to work on (...some sort of separation anxiety/fear of abandonment stuff on her part), so she had a tendency to display behaviors associated with that. She was beginning the fire fighter academy and gave me an ultimatum. Unfortunately those never go over well. We ended amicably and are still friends today. She is currently married to a Captain of a local fire department and they had a child a few years ago. She doesn't need to work. She's living her best life. Lol! I'm still chasing Porsche GT3's. Priorities! I joke!

It's great that it ended amicably as you say and you are still friends, some relationships end in bitterness and recriminations.

Maybe he lurks here and read the post with your picture that asked if anyone could name the 4 things in the picture that were fake

Sorry, couldn't resist. You opened the door, I just walked in.

Haha! I forgot about that post.

Everything else may be fake but I’m proud that my hair length is real (not the color lol) and my nails are real.

It's all matter of opinion type stuff. I find that I don't really have a specific type, but hair is all relative. I've dated girls with short hair and long hair. Personally, I prefer shorter hair. Also depends on the person, their height and shape of their melon.

I find that long hair only gets in my face when they are......on top. Sorry, no real PC way of putting this. I also find that long hair gets in the way during....felatio. Again, sorry. As long as I have enough at the base of the skull to grab a handful of and pull, we're good.

TBH, I want guy friends I can brag about, too.

But the hot ones always seem to come with much more stress.
Unfortunately it's the same with women. The more attractive women always come with more headaches. It sucks.
I think it's the opposite, it's been the "slightly above average" ones who think they are hot that come with the most headaches. A 6/7 out of 10 is THE worst. Because they think they are hot, and live under the (imo) false assumption that all hot people are trouble so they act like someone they aren't. 8 and up tend to be much more amicable. For me it's always been the 6s and 7s that are hardest to talk to and see where it goes; the attitude alone is extremely repulsive to me.

You are supposed to be a gentleman and hold their hair for them.

We are on the same page. I do hold their hair for them......I hold it firmly with one hand, at the crown or the base of the skull with a little more than slight tension, the other hand goes on the hip; they then get held down with both.

Sometimes they need their neck held for them too. Gents, if you don't know how to do this properly, then don't attempt it. It's how people end up in the ER. Jane, this is not a green light for a nurse comment. For those that don't know, feel free to PM for instructions.

Got actual PTSD. No fun at all.

I get what you are saying though....and yes. First wife's name was Teresa. Dated another Teresa a few years later and every time I said her name it made me cringe. It didn't last long and lasted longer than it should have.
