Congrats! TR is fantastic in person. Best factory color for the G8x right now imho

I made the opposite transition when I saw what the G80 would look like. I prefer the shorter wheel base and better engagement of my F80, but I can't get over the whole design of the G8x cars. Not for me. Maybe I'll come back for the LCI!

Beautiful reds! Just keep both brother and leave the TrD outside where she belongs.

Congrats on the new car but this is a major downgrade in my book. For those of you saying the m5 is "too fast" or "too perfect".. the whole point of a performance car is for it to be fast .

Is the engagement or lack there of something noticed while driving on the highway or around town to stores? Do you need to be on a race track to notice it? Does it mean when I turn the wheel left the car does not go left? Does it mean the car rides like a boat or throttle response is slow?

I'm in the same boat and just pulled the trigger on an M5. As much as I love the idea of a manual in an M, I can't get past that nose!!!

Yes the difference between the two is noticeable in all driving scenarios. The best way I can describe the difference is the M5 feels like it is in Comfort and the M3 feels like sport+.

The M5 looks gorgeous. Much better looking than the G80. If want a track car for that price, get a GT4.

Honestly it's the whole thing for me. It looks like a Gundam.

They did a great job with the interior though. I think with some exterior styling tweaks, I'll see past the whole grille thing and get back into one, but for now this F90 has a huge, dumb grin plastered to my face

congrats OP. The M3 does look great, the best build i've seen thus far I'd say. BUT- it's no M5. At this point in my life, i'll need the room, the luxury, and all the bells it comes with long before I want to feel attached to the road. My M4 served that purpose perfectly- on to the next level!

Congrats! I did the same... my F90 is no more and now waiting for my 6 speed G80 M3 ! Fully agree about the M5 being boring and feeling like a caged animal !

Pretty funny to see people talking crap about moving from the F90 to the F80. The level of egocentric views is unreal.

Just because you aspire to own an F90 doesn't mean that it is what everyone wants. Some of us have had one and found that it wasn't what we were looking for after the novelty of acceleration wore off. Doesn't mean it isn't a great car for other people, just may not be the right car for others for a variety of reasons.

My point of view is that the M5 is made for passengers and people who want a less engaging experience. The M3 is made for drivers who want a more engaging experience. Nothing wrong with either choice, just depends of the type of person/driver you are.

Gorgeous M5. I certainly wouldn't get rid of it for the G80 but to each their own. Enjoy the new whip!

Either way they are both the best of what BMW has to currently offer. Enjoy the pics!!
Haha I also noticed you have a new TRD Pro in Lunar Rock! I have one as well, along with an F90 in Frozen Red!

There is a carbon fiber m-performance replacement that is must-buy for sure. I'll have those in hand before the car arrives for sure.
