Status regressed?

My M3 was "in transit" for probably four weeks. Today it has regressed to "at the port"

I did not get the chance to call my SA. Anyone have any ideas???

Mine did the same. It just means that it is at the destination port and will show in transit again while on the way to the dealer. You should have your new M3 soon.
Congrats!

Mine did the same and was at the dealer a few days later. It's good news!

I think it means they are shipping it back to Germany for repairs. Add an extra 2 months to your delivery time.

Kidding. Mine did the same thing when it got to Baltimore. You'd think they could have added a few extra dots on the tracking site.

its one of the weird quirks of the tracking site as they have been continuously updating it over the years... on the plus side it is much more accurate now, not lagging a few days behind what genius can tell you over the phone
a few simple additions of info they have in the backend would make it better and more engaging
-aforementioned "shipping port" and "destination port" split
-still missing ship detail
-would like more assembly line status
-last date to modify order
And if they really wanted to get in the business of upsell
-last date to add port installed options (with link to port installed part list)

I'll make it even one better. Install cameras along the assembly line that could snap pictures of your car at various stages in the build process. They could even charge people a little extra for it. Maybe an extra $100 or so? People would pay it.

Yeah that would be awesome! I have been asked a hundred times from people if I can see it being built! I think all factories this would be cool for people and would definitely be worth a little dough.

Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult for them to set up. They obviously know what cars are at what point in the assembly line so just as a car crosses the path of a camera have it snap a picture.

I said all this to my dealer. I'd love it. And I agree, it wouldn't be difficult to associate with the vin at a given point on the assembly line.
