Differences between Full and Extended leather?

I think it depends on the color. With a black interior, the difference is more subtle.

I've deiced to upgrade my Tartufo (On Tanzanite) to the full option. My M340i had Cognac, which I believe automatically came with full leather. I don't want a cheaper feeling dash and top of the door card. Now if I could just get good pictures of this on delivery cars!

I have 2 weeks now to decide whether I keep Full Tartufo, or go with Black Carbon Buckets (I really don't want black interior).

When I had my F82, I went with extended and figured I'd be happy with that and save some money.

But once I saw a buddies car that had full leather, I regretted it. It just makes the car feel much better and rich inside. It makes it feel like an $80k car inside.

Yes, you can ask your Sa to change this. There is a code for it but honestly I don't know.

I don't think so I've looking at 100s of g80s and never see one in that way. Maybe some individual configuration but looking through the order book I've never seen that earlier.

I'm not really a fan of having the bottom of the dash in colored leather either. Especially in my spec Fiona red, which is why I am fine with the extended leather

My coral red in the F30 looked way better with the extended leather vs full. The full red looks hideous. Getting black in my g82 so went extended again

Anyway, if it helps, here are some photos of full Tartufo; whether it is worth the $2550 extra, I will leave to you. Personally, I had to have it.

Liarry, that interior looks terrific. It was how I specced my M3, before switching to an M4.

BMW offers Individual Manufaktur, which offers additional elements in Merino leather, and allows a choice of dye colors for various elements. So it's possible to specify the lower dashboard in Black. The challenge is finding a dealer who's knowledgeable and persistent enough to compel BMW USA to price and approve what's in the BMW AG catalog.

You may be right. It just had the match bottom half of the dashboard.

Fast forward - I ended up going with full tartufo and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the great photos. Tartufo looks like a really good match with Portimao.

I agree about full leather. Absolutely worth it.

i actually prefer the extended compared to the full , I like the contrast. Full leather is to much if you have red ,blue or orange IMO , but i seamed to be the minority on that.

Agree on the full red. I wanted red but I went with black rather than the red because I valued full leather over the color. Now I heard you can request the full red leather but have the dash remain black.

Got extended Fiona red because that's too much red... For me 2550 it's not worth it, I rather get aftermarket parts with it.. But everyone has different Financials... Most if not all ladies getting on won't be able to tell anyways.. 🤣

Hi - what is the material of the diagonal part in the center console that is on the left and the right of the cup holder (basically where the driver’s right knee would rest)?

Rigid black plastic, both sides, on a manual transmission car. Per @luckylingy below, apparently they are leather on automatic cars w/full leather.

Those are knee pads. On full leather, they're padded black leather. MPE option is padded black Alcantara.

the leather knee pads requires both full leather and auto trans. no leather knee pads with the manual.

Now I guess I'm really confused haha. Extended leather comes standard, and full is an option correct? Full leather adds the bottom portion of the dash (and top of door sills, etc.) and also does the dash in leather.

Does anyone know the code for the bottom of the dash in black, or do you think that goes into an "individual" build?
