I think the dark color makes the 18 look a lot better than the f80 18s. I like these the more I see them. I still think they will look best on Brooklyn grey. Holding out for someone to find one and post pics.

I know there's a good shot of them here somewhere; on a red car I think it was.

Found it:

And here:

I think there's another somewhere, too

These don't look bad at all. Judging from the configurator I thought they'd be nasty.

I have not seen a bad pic/vid yet of the standard wheels. I am leaning towards ordering them. Here is more of the IOMG with them.

Here's a few. These wheels look great to me but I actually like all of them, depending on the paint color

What do the 824Ms weigh? Much less than the 825M and 826M?

For those planning to make the 824 a dedicated winter set be aware that no tire manufacturer makes performance winter tire sizes. Sottozero 3 fit the 825/6 I really prefer the extra sidewall protection of the 824.

I am also curious of this. Any weight info on the 824m's yet compared to all the other 19/20 options including the 963m's?

Damn things must have been egg shaped with all those weights they threw on. Inside and out yet, yikes. Hopefully more to do with those fancy continentals you have than the wheel itself.

I used my staggered CS wheels during winter (just put winter tires on the wheels) and it was not good compared to the square setup I had on my base F80. I wouldn't specifically buy these for winters.

Comparing like tires and tread patterns for the square setup on the F80 vs staggered on the CS? Also, are you saying the square setup is better just in terms of ice/snow/slush handling, or in general for cold weather performance?

I only ask because I had the opposite experience with my F80, but I don't care much about how a tire might perform in the snow myself, so I was specifically looking at dry cold weather performance/handling. I ran a square setup on a set of 19"/ 437M wheels my first winter, but wasn't happy with the stretch nor handling on the rear tires, so went to a wider rear the second and third winter which met my needs.

changed my mind and ordered the winter tyre set of BMW (full 19" incl. tyres).

I have always read a square setup is better for ice/snow/slush handling and that was EXACTLY my experience with the CS wheels. i had the F80 18" winter wheel/tire package that BMW offered which was a square set up and it was far superior. I had the same tires on both.

Is this true if you get 4 of the 18 inch fronts that are 824Ms and run them on all 4 corners? Looks like you can get Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3s?
