Cut Sidewalls

At 800 miles my wife apparently hit a pot hole and cut the sidewall of the right rear tire. Had to have it towed to the dealership (no spare). It then took them three days to get the tire. Luckily I bought the warranty and it was covered - no charge to me.

Anyone have any advice on avoiding this - other than avoiding pot holes of course? This is the third tire ruined in the last year due to the same issue. Two Michelins and one Bridgestone. All in the rear. I try to keep the suspension in comfort mode at all times to give it as much give as possible but it still happens. Hard to imagine this as a daily driver going forward if I'm having to replace multiple tires a year.

Nothing really to help this. You need to Avoid. My GTR is on a 25 tire so Avoiding is a major thing!!! Get her a truck?

Garage List
Up the aspect ratio of the tire by downsizing a size on the wheel. Ex. 285/30/20 -> 285/35/19. I come from the Civic Type R which also commonly has this same problem
