MP HAS (M Performance Height Adjustable Springs)

Quote:
The M Performance sports suspension was developed and tuned on various different racetracks and is also directly associated with motor racing. The coilover suspension permits an infinitely variable reduction of ride height of between five and twenty millimetres (recommended lowering -10 mm vs. the M base model). With unchanged damper adjustment, the driver benefits from a lower centre of gravity, reduced rolling movement and even higher cornering speeds. In addition to increased dynamics, lowering also enhances the sporty looks.
M-Performance Height Adjustable Springs. They allow to fine tune the ride height as you would on a "coilover" suspension. This allows you to corner balance the car and fine tune the handling characteristics (over/understeer). Most people use it to fine tune the looks though.

Usually M-Performance parts are dealer ordered and installed, so they do not show on the options list. It is a way for BMW to tap in the aftermarket business. However, on some occasions, local markets do offer them as options at time of purchase (M-Carbon package, MPE, Ultimate Package are examples of M-Performance parts offered as part of the car purchase for the F8X in Canada).

Speaking of M-HAS, how do you like yours so far? I may go this route if I do end up with a G80 in the future.

Really good. The handling on track is superb. The drawback is annoying NVH when paired with the GC camber plates on my car. There's this rattling over small bumps at low speed that I can't seem to be able to get rid off.
