Hi all, Looking for a lease transfer on my '24 M4 X-Drive. Car has 2,200 miles on it, in immaculate condition, and has every package except carbon ceramic brakes. It also has quite a few mods/improvements: - RK Tunes front intakes - Full clear PPF on the front end - Yellow DRLs and CSL style tail lights - MAD Fat Boy catless downpipe - Full Valvetronic Exhaust Setup (midpipe + axleback) w/ 4.0 carbon tips - Full carbon set: grill, front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser I am asking for additional cash to help recoup my down payment ($5k + cost of mods). Lease payment is $1,570/month incl. CA taxes. |

I think it would help to clarify how much money you are asking to "help recoup my down payment ($5k + cost of mods)". The asking price is saying 15k, but I know you're not asking that amount, so some clarification would benefit this ad.

I am asking for $15k yes, which is actually less than the price of mods + what I put as down payment.
To clarify: I put $5k down, and probably paid around $12-$13k for mods + installation fees. |

$12k in mods on a lease - take them off and sell them separately. Otherwise, be ready to write most of them off unless by a miracle you get that buyer that wanted exactly all of the same mods… |

As someone who has a much more heavily modded G82, I'm gonna tell you right now, mods do not add value to the car. At all. Period. Especially since all you have done are generic mods cosmetic stuff. You aren't selling a car with a built motor or built transmission where someone who is looking for a ready to go built car is gonna buy it.
It's common knowledge that anytime you mod a car, you essentially have to write it off when selling the car with the mods included. You're better off just taking the parts off, putting the OEM stuff back on, and then selling the mods separately. You will NOT get your money back for them on the car. Especially since they are technically used and not new. I have about 60k in work done to my G82. I wouldn't sell my car for $180k because of that. |

Hey all thanks for the comments and feedback! I am actually keeping the vehicle and riding out the lease (pun intended). Will close out this thread.
