It's out of the Canal and in the Pacific. It now must clear around eastbound ships in the Pacific, waiting to enter; then head northward along the Pacific Coast to LA and then to Port Hueneme.

My Dealer (BMW in Newport Beach) told me it can take up to two weeks for them to get the car and inspect it prior to delivering it. So I guess that could mean up to Aug. 14 or so. He said he was hoping for sooner than that though.

I've never bought a car right off a ship before. It's been fun to watch! I feel bad for you guys that have been waiting a year! A least for me it's only been a couple weeks. It was already on the ship when I bought it. '23 M8 Competition Gran Coupe.

I'm really trying to have this car PPFed and ready to go to drive up from LA to the Pebble Beach Concourse d'elegance on August 19!

Not a stupid question at all. The Panama Canal allows pre-booking, which I assume all the on-time car carriers try to take advantage of. So not luck so much as good planning on the part of NYK.
