Less than 1 hr till official reveal.😬Tells the story that North America is the most important M market, as the new 4 series was revealed 12 PM ET, which was prime time in Germany of 6pm CET. Europeans have to wait until midnight local time for the official reveal, as that's probably the feeling of BMW M for the new G80/G82 — a big sleeper. Just hit snooze 💤.

This is my take on how the G20 BMW M3 & M4 front end should have looked. I took cues from the E46 M3, G70 X5M, and the M8.

This just in... BMW is bringing the M3 touring with a manual to the States.... A year later...Due to lack of interest BMW drops 3er touring offering from US.

Hey Munich, it has nothing to due with demand. It has everything to due with demand. We demand better styling.

I saw both of the cars in person last week and they don’t get any better looking in person. Even the factory reps felt compelled to immediately start talking about the grill. Then they talked about the grill some more. Like they were such amazing marketers they could convince me it wasn’t so bad. They were really nice guys and I honestly felt sorry for them.

These girls you just can’t drink pretty.

Rant completed.

The video yesterday where the M8 grilles were imposed onto the M4 made me realize how much I dislike the new grilles. And To be fair to the members here who have been complaining this grille design is not going over well outside of this forum. This was the headline from Road and Track following the reveal.

"Is This the Ugliest BMW of All Time?" Road & Track

I really like the sides and rear, but the front bothers me, because it could have been great, IMO, if they stuck with any of the M8, M5, or M2 style grilles.

Nah, looks closer to a 2 series gran coupe to me.

The new grill looks great in videos in my opinion, just not photogenic

Honestly if you guys want to see an ugly grill, check out the Nissan 400Z concept. They literally took a rectangular box and jammed it into the front bumper. WTF is this? Looks like completely lazy zero effort styling:

i think i've heard more than half the media reviews say its much better in person but i'll reserve judgement until i see it in the flesh
